Princess Serenity's dress is also named Palladium; Dior drew inspiration from Palladian architecture to make the dress and named it Palladium.
This isn't a topic I know much about, so the only thing I can trust right now is my eyes.
Based on what I can see from the photos in that Wikipedia link, SOME of the photos (1 or 2) look like the Moon Castle, but others look completely different.
Whereas if you look at the Taj Mahal and compare it, the similarities seem a lot more prevalent to me.
If Takeuchi did indeed draw inspiration from Palladian architecture, then I think she also peppered in a ton of influence from the Taj Mahal which draws from Persian architecture - -especially if you look at the Taj Mahal from the main entrance.
Basically...Takeuchi draws from both Eastern and Western astrology and mythology when it comes to crafting her Sailor Soldiers, their powers, etc. I'm sure she can do the same for the architecture of her buildings.
