Minako and Kunzite make sense to me and was hinted in the Sailor V manga. Even Crystal gave just these two a moment or two.
Can you explain why Minako/Kunzite makes sense to you?

The Sailors (or "Princess Warriors") had little sailed surfboard things they rode; it was Queen Beryl who had a ship (the "Dark Galleon").
Yeah, that's what's actually seen in Saban Moon, but I'd still like to see the Senshi having their own ship - probably a carrier or mother ship carrying their individual "surfboards" or w/e fighter crafts. :D

My favorite ships are Usagi x Mamoru, Ami x Urawa, and Haruka x Michiru. I don't know why for the love of me some fans tried to do Usagi x Seiya, Ami x Taiki and Minako x Yaten, those do not work. :|
Yeah and Usagi and Seiya obviously fails because Usagi has shown she has no romantic feelings for Seiya and Minako and Yaten dosen't work because Minako admitted that after she found out Yaten is really a girl she lost interest.

And Usagi saw her and Seiya only as friends, she was totally oblivious that he was in love with her (Ami, Rei, Minako and Makoto could tell), and there was no romance developed between Ami and Taiki at all even though they shared focus episodes (pretty much any of Taiki's focus episodes can count as Ami episodes too if you ask me). Urawa should have been brought back.

Yeah I would have loved if they brought Ryo back and had he and Ami as a couple.

I don't know, I feel weird about Urawa.
He honestly feels like a male Ami, they are too similar in my opinion. A relationship needs to weigh each person's strengths and weaknesses; when the two are basically the same person it becomes hard to manage. Of course, this varies from individual to individual, but knowing Ami's character well enough I don't truly think it would work without sacrificing happiness in the relationship.
Then again, I would take him over Zoicite any day, at least Urawa's an actual character.

Opposites don't always attract sometimes bird of a feather tend to flock together. I think it is silly to think that Ryo is a bad match for Ami because they are similar in personality because again they were shown to have similar interests and tons of chemistry. Yes sometimes people are attracted to what is different from themselves. I am kind of this way myself but others tend to like people more similar to them.

I really like Seiya and Usagi they don't get enough love in my opinion. I think regardless of whether it was one sided or whatever doesn't make it less substantial I mean they develop that relationship for most of the season there is way more material for people to point at that it's real than other ships.
At least Seiya and Usagi went out on an actual date thats more than you can say for some ships. I imagine a lot of people might even say that no Usagi didn't know it was a date because shes really naive and didn't know Seiya liked her but if thats the case why was she flustered blushing and anxious that Seiya was going to jump her? That line that she didn't get it in the last episode was really lame like no Seiya made it really clear that he/she had romantic intentions towards Usagi. Is she really so slow that she could misunderstand him/her asking her out on a date and trying to kiss her as anything but him liking her? I mean I guess it's possible that Usagi maybe believes that Seiya is a casanova or a shameless flirt trying to tease her like Haruka but thats still so lame.

senshi x starlights are all of my nope but beats senshi x shittenou

and as much as I don't ship Usagi x Chiba it's better than seiya x Usagi in my opinion,
seiya x usagi is based on infatuation more on seiya's side who Usagi reminds him/her of the Fireball Princess than Usagi's side of things who not only was sold on chiba by that point but is engaged plus knows of the future where she and he rule earth and have chibiusa there's no way in cosmos she'd give that up for this chiba wannabe who isn't even really a guy however your free to like it.
On Usagi's view seiya reminded her of Chiba during a time she had no contact with him.

it's too late in the series to have a rival for Usagi's romance that should have been during the break up arc for real tension.

did I just defend Chiba x Usagi? I think I'm getting sick

While I like Seiya, I always perceived his way of courting Usagi as emotionally abusive and manipulating. ''Am I not good enough" is a classic line to impose your feelings to someone who is emotional wreck. It is just my way of reading the situation.

From Seiya's point of view though it really looks as though the man that Usagi is in love with jilted her and left the country without saying anything about it so of course he/she is frustrated he/she sees Usagi suffering and putting herself down and blaming herself for him leaving and he/she wants to be that shoulder for her to cry on. Right before Seiya says that Usagi literally says that she can't do this on her own. I feel like that line you mentioned has been debated amongst people before I don't speak Japanese so I can't say personally if it's right or wrong but the "am I not good enough" line was something from the fansub days. It's since been replace with "Can I take his place?" in the official subtitles. I think what Seiya means is up to interpretation as well. I mean it's not like Seiya said hey you should date me or anything like that. The way I read it is like I said he/she wants to be there for Usagi for emotional support and to fight along side her.

Mamoru x Usagi is my oldest and my strongest OTP
I enjoy Chibiusa x Helios, with a particular artist's fanart that supports them.
And Shingo x Hotaru is my crackship

Almost any other pairing is dependent on the art/fic I see, with no devotion to any particular.

PGSM: Hina × Mamoru (if I wrote the script, I'd just let them go ahead & get married, & then divorce because of Usagi :twistedevil: )

I am always going to have a soft spot in my heart for Usagi x Mamoru specifically the Serena x Darien of my childhood but the things that made them work for me in the early seasons kind of disappear after a while and make me not like Mamoru anymore. I always appreciated the fact for example that Mamoru and Usagi had that very playful relationship where they could squabble and take shots at each other to me it was like even though there was an age gap between them their emotional maturity was at a similar level like they were friends but then they neuter Mamoru's character and in my opinion from that point on their relationship leaves a bad taste in my mouth because they have zero chemistry together and Mamoru is like raised to this level of being so much more intelligent and mature than Usagi it's more like hes her dad/husband from that point and It's cringy in my opinon.

But I think that’s what makes the Usagi’s and Mamoru’s relationship work so well. Despite being polar opposites, it works so well for them. Usagi being the bubbly, cheery person she is, brightens up Mamoru’s sad, depressing dark world where he spent most of his life dwelling in loneliness. Mamoru’s quiet calmness and maturity helps Usagi’s character mature causing her to be brave and overcome hardships to utilize her power for the greater good. The once helpless, crybaby girl became the powerful, magnificent soldier of love and justice. Besides, Mamoru’s immature bickering with Usagi seemed to have been more of his way of getting her attention and him being attracted to her bubbly personality. It’s not really his character/personality as for the rest of the seasons after R, he acts a little more like his Tuxedo Mask persona.

Hmm, I can’t really choose one favorite. I mean, I have the obvious ones, like Usagi x Mamoru, Haruka x Michiru, and Luna x Artemis. I haven’t seen the 90s anime, but I would probably ship Kunzite x Zoisite and Umino x Naru for that adaptation if I were to watch it.
For headcanon ships, I have:
Kunzite x Sailor Venus, but Silver Millenium era/Dark Kingdom arc only (manga/Crystal)
Reinako for after Dark Kingdom (manga, I guess, but also due to what I know of PGSM (I haven’t watched it))
Makoto x Asanuma (it’s established that Asanuma has romantic feelings for Makoto, so is this even headcanon? I guess Mako’s feelings for him aren’t made clear)
At first, I liked Hotaru x Chibiusa for Infinity, but then I checked back at their ages a while ago, and I think it was something like Chibiusa was mentally + physically around 9, and Hotaru was 12. If they stayed like that throughout their lives, I would ship them as they got older, as the age difference gradually wouldn’t matter. However, as we all know, that’s not what happens. Hotaru is reborn at the end of Infinity and grows irregularly during Dream, and Chibiusa returns to the 30th century in Stars. Hotaru’s next interactions with Chibiusa would be in the future, and she would be much too old for Chibiusa when Chibiusa is born. Still, because of the Hotaru x Chibiusa implications in Infinity, I don’t ship Chibiusa x Helios.
I kind of like Haruka x Usagi, mostly because of a fanfiction I read on FF.net once. (At the time, I thought it was good, but I was also 11-12 years old, and my standards were lower. Plus, it’s not AO3. It’s FF.net, so it’s likely not the best.) However, I like Haruka x Michiru and Usagi x Mamoru much more.
Canon ships I don’t like:
I used to like SenxShi back when I was 10-11 (maybe to 12?) and new to what good-quality anime was. I thought SMC was peak anime or something. Yeah, SMC still holds a place in my heart, but I know it’s bad (IMO). After reading copious amounts of criticism on this forum on the sloppy execution of SenxShi in SMC, I came to realize that, yeah, it was pretty forced. I don’t like Sailor Mars x Jadeite at all (Mars should kill Jadeite, not love him!), and I’m neutral to Jupiter x Nephrite and Mercury x Zoisite.
As previously mentioned, I don’t like Chibiusa x Helios because of Chibiusa x Hotaru vibes. (It could also be due to the influence of Suburban Senshi, to be honest :P)

I hate Mars/Jadeite too, that pairing makes zero sense as it goes against Rei's personal credo.
