My local Wal-Mart has the limited edition for SuperS Part 1 for $29.99. What a steal. That's over $40 less than RightStuf and $20 less than Amazon.
Yeah I noticed that a few weeks ago and was really excited I thought it might be a mistake or something so I thought I would snatch it up right away it seems other people are seeing it in store though so it must not be a mistake it’s a really good deal. Seems so weird to me though because for whatever reason they never sold even the regular blu-rays before. They only ever had DVD in stock.

JunJun and VesVes are the only ones whose voices sound a bit off to me, in that they both sound a bit older than the kids they are.
I like JunJun's and PallaPalla's voices. Junjun sounds tomboyish and PallaPalla sounds extra sweet, like it's supposed to be. The other two have nothing special in their voices, but I don't think this is a problem.

"Tomboyish" and "extra sweet" are correct for them, yes, but in JunJun's case, she sounds like a tomboyish grown-up young woman instead of a tomboyish pre-adolescent young girl.

This is one case where I feel like the Cloverway voice (JunJun's this time) sounded closer to the Japanese voice. And, frankly, JunJun honestly did have a pretty good Cloverway voice overall.

It's also a lot of money to dub a series, you're thinking Viz is like Warner or Disney. They have more limited budgets.
Dubbing is relatively cheap as most of the work is already done for the dubbing company and dubbing productions tend to be non-union which usually means lower pay for those working on it.

Indeed DiC, a notoriously cheap company (to the point there was a joke the acronym stood for Do it Cheap) most definitely sought out Sailor Moon because it was a toyline where the advertising show had its animation already done for them.

You’re right Viz isn’t Disney or Warner they’re also doing considerably cheaper productions.

hmmm interesting. stopped by walmart out here in vancouver and nothing as well. Odd.
Ya Walmart doesn't seem to carry the Viz sets very consistenty in Canada anymore. I used to always buy them on Walmart.ca, but now they don't sell any of the sets on there anymore. My local store in Kamloops gets the DVD sets eventually but never seems to have them anymore around the release date. They never carry the Limited Edition Blu Ray sets which is frustrating because I end up having to buy them elsewhere for more. I bought it on the Rightstuf website this time for way more because I have to pay for the US Price for it and pay for shipping from out of country. Oh well at least they shipped it today, and I getting the gift with purchase <3. Their gift with purchase for this set is really cute.
