Only for the characters introduced in season 1, though.
I thought it was for season 1 and 2? They used the Japanese names for S onwards because they got their first right?

And Cloverway oversaw that entire dub but made the subcontracted company (intertrack) use the DiC names for Classic and R right?

I have the Mexican dub for the S season on DVD and it's all DiC names (as far as I've watched into it which is the Usagi birthday episode).
Including Haruka and Michiru? They called them Amara and Michelle in the Mexican S dub?

I should clarify I realize they continued to use DiC names for characters like Serena and Darien but I meant characters introduced in S onward i.e Setsuna, Haruka, Michiru, etc

They invented anglicized names for season 2 characters, but stopped doing that by S.
Yes, they got it first and CWi oversaw the whole dub.

No, starting with S they used the original names for new characters. They finished their Stars dub in 1998, long before CWi dubbed S and Supers in English.

Wrong. I'm from mexico, and I can confirm the mexican dub uses the original names for the characters introduced in S, SuperS and Stars. However, the characters introduced in Classic and R kept their DiC names in all seasons.
That's not true for R. There aren't names like Catsy, Avery or Prizma (Ayakashi Sisters) in the Mexican dub. They used other names.

Thanks for clarifying. I shoul've done more research since I'm not entirely familiar with the DiC dub. I actually though Karmesite, Berjerite, Kalaverite, and Petzite came from DiC (boy, I was wrong). I also forgot to mention that the mexican dub kept Rei and instead of Raye (even if they are pronounced the same).
A lot of European dubs used these names for the sisters.
