Yeesh, looks like Kise Yayoi's gonna be very sad to see that.

Hirano's version of Cha La Head Cha La (even if it's intentionally bad) sounds like Usagi Tsukino's drowning in a vat of hydrofluoric acid.

What kind of personality did she have?
She got sex photos leaked, she slept with all members of her band, except the bassist who claimed she tried to force herself on him. She talked trash about the Japanese nerds (something I personally don't blame her for, but it still seems kind a unwise) and she used to be very vocal on how much she hates anything related to anime and she is doing it to promote her (non-existent) music career. She was fired from multiple agencies for various reasons and she has reputation of being hard to work with and quite rude.

I read an article about her and I felt sorry for her. She talked about how underpaid animators and seiyuu are in Japan and living below the povertt line.

She said she at one point she was so poor she put soy sauce on tissues and ate them when she started voicing Haruhi Suzumiya.

Honestly, I wonder if memories of that fuels some of her judgement. She appears like she has to do what she needed to do to survive up until a certain point.

Haruhi was her breaking point and she started all these scandalous stuff after it.

It's a tough world out there for sure. I'm sure most fans only see what's going of from the outside.

I saw that beginning voice actors in Japan get like $295 or so per 30 minute episode and higher tier can get $495 OR SET THEIR OWN PRICE if they are super high

Compared to what long speaking VAs get in America..(Family Guy VA get like 200,000 per episode) that seems like insanity considering that VA's in Japan have to do singing and stuff.

It does make me so see if the other old VA were too much for Toei to afford. Being that they all worked on the series in the past, they probably wanted much more higher money now especially considering this wouldn't be as long as the original. I'm sure our Usagi's got a nice chunk tho. She's a legend.

Anyways, hope we get some info. Even if it's a picture of a boot or frill. Hmm. I should add Tando. I wonder has she posted any recent drawings?

I personally don't blame her, but the joke in which Kanemoto took part of was aminor deal in comparison. Tadano hasn't posted anything Sailor Moon related at least. Everybody involved with Crystal is pretty silent as of now. Munehisa Sakai at least posted stuff on tweeter back in the day.

You could say she was way ahead of time, recently, even anime point out there are creepy otaku who look at idols/va as if they own them (Magical Girl Site) and more and more workers in anime industry talk about underpayment and overworking. Unfortunately, Hirano payed very high price, while she still is around, she mostly voice minor roles and is nowhere near as popular like other VA from that time...

As for movies, i think we gonna hear something at beginning of next year, we will get trailer and release date.

So they open an empty official website with the same loosy trailer.
Well at least we know for sure it's happening. And we also know that Studio Deen is taking part on it
I haven't watched anything from them. Anyone?

Studio is mixed bag, they did pretty good series like Konosuba, Sakura Trick, but they were also responsible for Ongaku Shoujo, one of worst idol anime ever, bad animation, terrible plot points...

Oh, god no. Deen... No:fork:, hell no... Launching a site is good sign that we will get more art released soon, but Deen being part of it... Deen of all the Studio, all because Kon worked with them in the past. Deen are one of the lowest quality studios after 2010 and they are gettig worse and worse...

Here's my list:

Eat Man & Eat Man 98*
Fruits Basket 2001
Full Moon o Sagashite*
Gravitation*
Hell Girl (first 3 seasons)
Higurashi-When They Cry**
Initial D: Third Stage
The Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA series
Log Horizon season 2*
The Law of Ueki
Maison Ikkoku*
Patlabor (Early Days & New Files OVAs & co-produced the first movie)
Ranma ½
Rurouni Kenshin (episodes 67-94, co-produced the movie, fully produced all 3 OVAs)

* - Shows that I want to watch
** - A show Chiaki Kon directed (except the Rei OVAs since that was worked on at the same time as the not-so-great Umineko-When They Cry)

The only shows I had issues with were Hell Girl 3, Ranma (never finished it because it started to get a bit boring at a certain point) and Kenshin (though I blame director Kazuhiro Furuhashi for this one because with the exception of the first OVA which was great, the rest of their half included a bad final filler arc, a rewritten end to the series that nobody liked and a badly condensed retelling of the anime's best adapted arc that also turned out terrible).

I've always thought that Toei should have co-produced Crystal with another studio... I just wasn't thinking of this one. ^_^'

Studio Deen's latest productions have been pretty bad, BUT it's a collaboration and since they're not producing the movies themselves, it should hopefully be fine...

I loved deen prior 2010. They had a lot of nice shows like Hell Girl, which is probably my favorite anime. But the last 10 years they had very few shows worth watching. Static, ugly, unimagiative. Hell Girl S4 and Junji Itou Collection are some of the worst stuff I have seen in my life. I hope as it is co production they do something nice. Deen have some afffiliation with darker stuff, so we might get some of the darker manga ellements incorpurated. Maye it won't be so bad after all. Plus their films are good, albeit not that many and some of their writers are quite good as well.

Still I am glad they dedicated a whole site for the films and to launch it now, it means we might get more artwork and possible trailer really soon. It also shows soe excitment for a Crystal related thig for once.

I'm happy that toei is co-producing the movies with another japanese studio. Since it's Sailor Moon Crystal/Toei, it's no surprise that the studio they picked is not among the best. Maybe they were looking for a studio that is on a similar level. Anyway, there is something about the looks of anime since the early 2000 that I don't like. They often look too clean, generic and uninspired.

Ok, I just saw that DEEN made Angel's Egg in 1985, which is a wonderful and beautiful anime. But that was over 30 years ago...

Deen were quite good in the past, so were Toei. Deen are not the best studios, bit they have their shares of hits as well as horrible proects. It depends on the animators working on it in the end. Still it is better than some unknown studios they used in the past.
