Well, even it is just additional cast and a confirmation of theme song and artist it is going to be big news. Beggers can't be choosers.
As it's a movie of a well-known franchise, I hope it'd be performed by a big-name, chart-busting artist, which could help promote the franchise, but again, I wouldn't get my expectation too high on it either. lol

Wished they get SNSD or its former members. :wow:

SNSD is somewhat "out" now ......
Not sure about their status in Japan but Tiffany and Hyoyeon actually have live performances here this and next month.

..... these days it should be TWICE lol (of course, I wouldn't expect it to happen at all :P ).
How I wish especially when Sana and 2 others cosplayed as a :usagi: inspired magical girl. :wow:

So...according to this:

Kazuko Tadano returns to Sailor Moon after nearly 25 years as the animation director of Sailor Moon Crystal | Sailor Moon News

Kazuko Tadano is animation director too. Or just character designer? A I'm confused.
Nobody has confired that. This is wrong as she is confirmed as designer only by Toei. While in most cases the character designer os also chief animation director, Tadano in her most recent projects served as character designer only. I hope they will confirm her as one of the animation directors, because she is doing great in this regard, but we are yet to know that.

Japanese fans would certainly be delighted by the presence of Sana. XD Alternatively, IZ*ONE could also have the same, if not even greater, effect, due to its AKB48 Group connections - too bad it's currently in indefinite hiatus, due to that huge, criminal scandal of PRODUCE X 101's/PRODUCE 48's producers. *sigh*

I heard about that. There's even one with MLD's rigged reality show 'Finding Momoland' and questionable contracts with its terminated members.

I’m kinda worried about the animation quality, have you seen the recent scandal of the animation quality of the 7 sins anime?

Guess who is doing the animation...

We all know that, but then again it is miles better than using the same little in between animation studios they used for s1-3.plus it is film now, and Deen still got good animators as well. Once we know the animation director, we can speculate. Plus with such simplistic designs it would be harder to scew up.

I don't know much about japanese animation studios, but Sailor Moon is a big franchise and as far as I can see, DEEN hasn't produced anything as well known and prestigious as Sailor Moon. So it must be quite an honor for DEEN to work for Toei on this movie (so far we don't know if DEEN will also be involved in SM Eternal 2). So if I was an animation company, I would hire my best artists for this project. Especially after the scandal with Seven Deadly Sins I assume /hope, DEEN will pull some strings to correct their reputation and blows us away please us with the SMEternal movie.

Actually they have worked on very popular and renowned stuff, but in the past. They have done a lot of miss-steps in the last decade though. Fingers crossed they won't mess up. But compared to all the studios outside Japan that worked on Crystal...

Studio Deen's recent issues are likely due to time constraints and mismanagement. Say what you will about Chiaki Kon, but she was actually lauded for having a very sensible production schedule for Crystal Season 3 and it showed. I trust that we will not be seeing the same production issues that Season 1 and Season 2 had.

I don‘t mind if the animation has static moments or limited movements, but I really want to see beautiful frame compositions and atmospheric colors and shadows, breathtaking choreographies for the transformations and battle scenes.

So... the animation director plays the most important part here, right? Can we already speculate who is likely going to be in charge?

If they are co-producing, there is gonna be some good money into this. I think of it works like regular films, each studio gets a good decent money budget. We may not have to worry about animation for scenes that count.

Just a matter of how the story flows and how they "break it up."
