Well its disappointing how lazy they are. At the same time...i dont think its that horrible? Yes its not fluid, thats the big problem. The good thing is i dont see any wonkiness?

Im really hoping that this isnt the final version even though it probably is but maybe there is a chance they will polish it for the final release.
The movies are still six months away. Its possible they will update them.
Another thought is that this time around the transformations can be just a single use events, if only because of the movie lenght. Maybe thats the reason they decided to cut corners with them. We'll have to see. The speech part looks fluid enough.

Not sure what too think. Its worrying but im still hopeful.

I cannot accept that as an excuse. Transformations and attacks sequences are for me a GIANT part of the series success. It's like for me (French) eating cheese without bread ! Unacceptable :loltext:

What are the reactions of the Japanese Fandom ? Somehow I never get why they seems to be totally quiet and never speak with international fandom (forum etc...).

I agree with you but at the same time this transformation really isnt that bad. Its disappointing but not necessarily awful. Right now its more negative but with a loud respond from fanbase and 6 months still left till the release they can work on it

I know they're re-using the 90's transformations for nostalgia.
I think it's less for nostalgia's sake and more a way to save time and money. They're just cutting corners wherever they can. Honestly, I'd rather they don't include any transformation and attack sequences if it means poorly tracing the '90s ones. What's the point of giving us a bad remake of those sequences? Just have them transform off-screen and use real-time attacks instead. The time saved can be used to serve the plot or the characterization.

As for the music: im actually loving it? Then again i just love Crystal OST in general but in my opinion this new track really sounds awesome.
I like the Crystal Ost. But this theme puts me to sleep and I find it lacking. Usually tge Sailor Moon theme is a bit boting with Crystal. It was in season 3 for me as well. But I loved the inners theme. The Outers transformation theme though was quite boring in comparison to the 90s. It is hit or miss.

They need more frames for the hair and the dress movement. If the body stays still, there should be other object moves to "cheat" the viewers. A good example is Usagi laying on the ground in Act 25. Her body doesn't move at all, but her hair is excellent.
I start to love the music. The only thing I complain is the low volume.

Just a copy of the Super S anime transformation... and whty are they transforming together? That's so super S! In the manga they transform separately a lot, so ,what are they going to do then? a solo version of those? or just cut the scene? Sigh... why do they keep copying the 90s anime.

But, honestly, I don't mind about Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon's transformations, what I want to see, and I know I have to wait ages for it, is Sailor Saturn's! becaus eI assume Pluto's will be just like in the 90s but with bad music, like Uranus' and Neptune's.

The music is such a bizarre choice because they made such an effort in copying the '90s anime's transformation but then paired with the most low energy BGM. Like I get they're really gunning for the casual crowd that watched the '90s anime, but that same crowd is probably gonna go WTF when Takanori Arisawa's iconic jazz music is replaced with Crystal's soft choral music... It feels like they haven't fully thought this through

For me the whole aesthetic - the music, pastel colors and watercolor background were designed to work with the designs and direction of Crystal s1 and 2. And it just doesn't mix well with the closer to the 90s sequences and designs the way it didn't mix well with season 3 Pretty Cure designs either. It is ok, it is passable, but something feels weird.

When Sailor Uranus and Neptune transformed in Season 3, I was specting some good music, with strength, with power... the outers' bgm were SO GOOD i nthe 90s... but Crystal gave us a too light music without personality at all... a pity
Something will become so good if you stop comparing. You couldn't expect there is an upbeat violin song like SM 90's. Why must it be a violin? Why don't you think it's just different, not bad?

The 90's one was fine, Crystal just did a copy of it, that one should have had new animation seeing how they did new animation for the others' attacks, even with Uranus and Neptune's Space Sword Blaster and Submarine Reflection.
My bad. I was talking about Mercury Aqua Rhapsody for Eternal. ^_^'

I am still curious if they'll use their old attacks as well much like how the SuperS movie both use real time and attack footages. I hope they'll use Snow Shine Illusion again just so Mercury can use her kage bunshin. If there's another move I'd like to see animated properly it would be Rolling Heart Vibration. Don't care if its copy paste or not from the arcade game. S2 Crystal Rolling Heart Vibration didn't looked awesome despite it being the better than S1 in general in terms of animation.

There's a difference between the music being exactly the same and Crystal subpar OST.
As I have previously said, Crystal sounds flat. It could be the OST of any anime broadcast late at night in Noitamina.
Problem is the composer is the same as for Precure. He's just lazy and thinks that Precure rhythm and melodies could match Sailor Moon but no.
Precure is Chocolate, Happy, Rainbow, Lemonade. I MEAN LOL.
Sailor Moon is about a princess that commited suicide and her reincarnation on Earth. Or Sailor Saturn.
Are we going to get this cute, cheesy music in Stars? Is the Galaxy Cauldron to sound like an elementary school bus on a trip to a farm?

Clow already described it as 'church music' a few years ago which I agree. XD

Though I have to admit the battle music soundtrack in the fight against Pharoah 90 in S3 is really good especially when it's used in :hotaru:'s henshin sequence. It definitely fits the mood of an apocalyptic battle.
