Season 4 movies update: Sailor Moon Eternal - Delayed to 2021 (Part 1 on January 8th & Part 2 on February 11th)

I just checked the official site. Some theaters will finish showing Part 1 on February 19th or 23rd. Meanwhile, 7 new places were added. Those will be new places screening Part 1.

I am not a huge fan of his work. He made them a bit too masculine... For me Itou will always be the best. And if they ask her to do something closer to the manga she will do something amazing.

I guess they will either stick with Tadano (which personally don‘t want) or bring back a veteran and fan favorite like Ikuko Itoh or Hisashi Kagawa. I would enjoy both if they can give the designs a more mature look.

Can we conscider this exceeding expectations?

I for one have been very vocal about the impact of this movie, much more, Sailor Moon's iconic status in Japan, and it hasn't even touched overseas yet.

Considering it is an older franchise, with older content you can easily look up, it getting released and ranking among newer titles and films was already a promising sign.

If this is accurate (which it should be from the official site) about the new theater showings, Toei has faith these movies will do well and they are currently making enough money not to be pulled.

I just wish it get released overseas soon cause I am ready for it and I NEED to hear that song that plays during the Outers mini trailer cause it sounds like it's awesome.

Kagawa makes huge heads though... He gives a what I call shounen feeling that just clashes with the new more shoujo look of the reboot. I still find this the perfect Sailor Moon look.

Not really news, but Miho Sugimoto just posted this fan art of Chibi Chibi saying she hopes she can meet her again someday.

But this is her take on tadano's design, so if they make her character designer she could make something completely different than this, i would like her to be the animation director instead

It is different enough, and with Crysternal having so many animation directors, it means nothing to be one. Hisashi Kagawa was character design of S and SuperS movies, despite they were his take of Itou. I think this is not just a take as it looks quite different. Face is much slimmer and more mature, the gead is smaller, the hair is quite detailed and the nose. The nose. I am sure she won't be asked to do something way different.

Honestly it’s not too far off what we have now which is fine for me. I love Kazuko and I’m hoping she’s stays on because I’m sure she will mature the senshi slightly.

But this woman is great! I feel like if she did the designs no one would complain.
