I want to say I'd love to see a live action Sailor Moon but considering how awful anime to live action movies have been (from Hollywood, at least) I don't know if I'd want to wish that upon Sailor Moon. I feel like a Sailor Moon movie in Hollywood would do better if it were made as a loose...

That's what I think. I commend the dub for making cuts to those scenes for sure (and I don't really understand people who really take issue/offense to it). Oh yeah, especially with Chibiusa. I do take issue with some of it, but for Naoko, it's a little complicated for me. I'm not sure how deep...

This is one of the differences I honestly agree with in some way. On one hand, the soldiers are old enough that they're at the stage of their lives where they're becoming adults, understanding their sexual identities, so that alone doesn't really bother me, but there's also the idea that...

For my two cents: I technically grew up with the old dub, but I didn't watch enough of it and I only watched the entire series in Japanese. While I think the dub is pretty good and I think Stephanie has Usagi pretty much nailed, I understand the lukewarm emotions. In some ways it does fall flat...

Now that all of Season 1 has been dubbed and uploaded, I was wondering what the general consensus is! (I hadn't seen a general dub thread) Do you guys think the voices match the characters well? Are the emotional deliveries effective? Do you prefer it over the DiC dub, vice versa, etc, etc

I didn't know the rest of the episodes were out today--guess I have something to for a break from finals studying :P Looking forward to Minako's episode and the final two, but since the Naru/Nephrite episode I'm the tiniest bit worried

I like to think that Usagi set aside nice living quarters for Naru, but I've wondered if she and the Senshi's civilian friends and family had survived to see Crystal Tokyo. Wasn't there supposed to be something catastrophic that enabled the creation of Crystal Tokyo that was never really shown?

Epsiodes 34 and 35 are very emotional. I think Stephanie Sheh is fantastically conveying Usagi at her weakest points so far

It's understandable that the dub might've been off to a rockier start, especially considering the first season is a little uneventful compared to other seasons. I'm currently watching episode 34 (I skipped ep 32 for now #impatient). Artemis and Minako have great voices! I loved Mina's Japanese...

I think it could have definitely been Naru's VA in general. I'd say one slightly disappointing scene makes up for a fake Brooklyn accent and awful slang P-:

I don't like how Usagi, who seems like she'd not be chubby in the slightest, is teased about her weight in a few episodes. I don't really like the anti-weight tone of the series in general, even Naoko making fun of her editor being fat and it being a running gag didn't completely sit with me.

Mamoru is about 5'10", right? It's so bizarre to realize most of the inner Senshi would be close to my height or shorter when they seem like they'd be like 6 feet tall P-:

All criticisms/praises aside, has this thread yet discussed the idea of Usagi giving her dad the most powerful physical item in the galaxy to get put into a necklace by a random jewelry retailer?
