Majority of Stars filler episodes for lacking creativity especially in the action department. The only thing that saved it was the first arc and the last arc.

SuperS filler had the same problem but only in the latter half of the season when all the build up went no where at a slow pace. There's still a few gems like this one.

The absolute disrespect you guys are showing Kirin in this thread is unacceptable. He is the best character ever to bless this franchise and he deserved better than to be confined to that terrible episode. They should have brought him back for the Kaguya Island musicals, which would at least have made them bearable.

In our own world, there are quite a few politicians who claim they "saved" their nation by building border walls to prevent illegal immigrants from entering. Yet, instead of kneeling down and recognizing such political leaders as princesses, we challenge them and their decisions through courts and elections. We call them racist lunatics who have no respect for nations built on diversity brought by those very immigrants.

Why it should be any different for Sailor Moon? After all, she was just guarding her particular vision of the future of the planet against that of her political opponents - much like politicians do in our own world. :ninja:[/QUOTE]

That's like comparing illegal immigration to the Nazi invasion of Poland. Apples and oranges, friend.

I forgot the title and episode number but the episode where Fish-Eye creeps on a little boy, easily. Not only did it serve to unnecessarily creepify Fish-Eye, (thereby also adding to the extremely problematic "gay men are all pedophiles" trope) who was otherwise the best out of the Amazon Trio until then but it also nerfed the Inners and made it so they couldn't do anything without Pegasus's help. Excuse me? These are the girls who saved the world 3 times over by now and who always managed to power up themselves by coming to a realization from within, people like to talk [BLEEP] about how the Crystal Senshi our made weak and useless? Try watching this episode!

Overall the entire episode was just one big, fat OOC mess and imo perfectly encapsulates all the problems people have with SuperS

S-Sailor Stars had the exact same problem with filler. Over reliance on the victim of the day formula. There was far more variance in Classic and R.
I agree.

What made it worse was the more these victims of the day we turned up, the less we saw of the extended cast and some were just dropped altogether. I would have much rather had a catch up with Yuuochirou, Motoki, Usagis family, Reis Grandpa, Ryo, the Ayakashi Sisters and have them be the victims of a phage or lemure then all these forgettable one shots.

The problem was that they almost ALWAYS made each season it’s own self contained narrative outside of a couple of Easter eggs here and there. A more linked narrative like the manga would’ve been a lot cooler.

Episode 190 really really irritates me with the exclusion of Sailor Saturn. To have Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto appear but not Hotaru just does not sit right with me. She should have been present to comfort Usagi who was dealing with this conflict between them and the Starlights. She also could've
used Silence Wall to deflect the balloons from the Phage.

This one. Feels so pointless and disrespectful to :usagi:. And :haruka: and :mihiru: were just mean girls.

Yes!!! This episode was so petty and a waste of time. It could have easily been replaced with an extended look at what it looked like inside Pharaoh 90, and have Super Sailor Moon trying to maneuver inside and find Hotaru/Saturn (basically, the ending of ep 125 would have Sailor Moon enter Pharaoh 90, and end it there. The next episode picks back inside of Pharaoh 90. Saturn herself slashes through the mesh, and we get snippets here n there of Saturn's past life in the Silver Millenium (though unlikely as the 90s anime avoided most past life content like the plague. Then Sailor Moon eventually talks to her and saves her, leading to the ending from ep 125 on ep 126 instead.) Basically it could've been a Sailor Saturn episode.

To some degree I don’t mind not seeing Pharaoh 90 up close, the visual of Usagi’s return with her almost blank wide eyed stare while holding baby Hotaru is incredibly effective to me. It makes it clear whatever she saw wasn’t pleasant to say the least, but since we never saw it that leaves the viewer to speculate. Basically a “nothing is scarier than what we can create in our own heads” situation. Though I do completely get the complaint, especially with all the build up.

Anyway most of my most hated have been mentioned here already lol, the weight loss episode was bad and sent an incredibly toxic message, I really didn’t like the Ninja Usagi episode just for how out of character it felt, plus it wasted not only the concept of Ninja Usagi (which is a super fun one lol) but also felt like a complete waste for Yuuichiro’s last appearance. Also the Super transformation episode in SuperS, and the ones where the trio creep on kids

The first half of SuperS in general was kinda really bad lol
