By the way, isn't venus castle name wrong? It was supposed to be "Magellan" castle, named after a space probe that was sent to explore the planet Venus in the 1990s, named by Ferdinand Magellan (Fernando de Magallanes), usualy writen as マゼラン (Mazeran) in Japanese, but in that catakana it says "MAZENDA". I just checked Wikipedia and the sonda is called マゼラン (Mazeran) too, so there must be a typo in the artbook. I checked the rest of the castles in the artbook and all of them are right except Venus.

Some replies of that twitt noticed the typo too :P but it's not that rare when Japanese use foreign words

Being Cosmos also fits Minako more than Usagi because she is the senshi of Love.

True. Venus just has powers based on love and beauty and her other elements. Like how she's the Senshi of Love and Beauty but she isn't the most "beautiful" senshi. She's just one of them. Sorta like Rei is often regarded as the most beautiful Inner and Neptune as one of the most beautiful Outer Senshi or whatever.

To me it seems like some of the staff memebers are huge fans of Mercury and Mars compared to the others.

I wonder what Mercury would be like if she was like Cosmos?

Maybe the Viz Media group is only doing mediocrity ... and Japan is fed up with it ...


In France, Kazé France (Viz Media Europe), had only problems, the customer had to constantly go through customer service, to have an exchange of discs ... boxes to change ...

- Season 1: disc 10 to change - no sound for half of an episode.
- Season 3: the publisher wanted to remove the 5 cards because the boxes were not selling very well, and the goodies are expensive in the contracts.
- Season 4: 5 digipacks to change, because they got it wrong in the name of the series, 2 discs to change.
- Season 5 and OAV and films: French dubbing strongly criticized by fans, because Kazé did not want to recall the old cast of the French dubbing.
- Sailor Moon Crystal: 3 Blu-Rays to change, because they had not done the correct timing for the subtitled track ... It was unreadable.


In France, it was the fiasco for Sailor Moon ... Even on the day of the announcement of the DVD release, Kazé France threatened Sailor Moon fans by saying: if you don't buy, there will be no sequel. ..

While they had already acquired all the series + films ...

Basically: blackmail.

In my opinion Vizmedia/Shogakukan group also has a bad reputation in quality control, you see typos here and there in their books and dvd's as well including the one in Shogakukan Asia in Singapore.

They allowed this because Shueisha has Tokyopop in Germany, Glenat in France, and Norma in Spain as its publishers.

So living in Austria I can only tell you that it’s well deserved than Kaze Germany now as trouble with the licence. Although the first season who came out last year was perfect : quality and audio stunning (in Blu-ray) the second season who came up in January is catastrophic. I had to send back the set because of the audio quality of each episode. It was in German unbearable. Like all episodes were played under water or through an old VHS tapes..

Furthermore, they copied on the last CD two times the episode 87 instead of the 89 who was still officially not seen in German...

The worst was the answer of Kaze regarding the sound “it’s an old series that why the audio quality cannot be better” :rofl::loltext: (they really wrote that).

Now they even said that they’re probably not going to be able to exchange the last CD because of this licence issue... basically they’re selling unfinished products and they don’t understand why they have problems then with the licence after that.

I’m so happy that I had the chance to find all BR version and set from Madman in Australia. It’s from far away the best edition in the world.
