I'm no Videophile but I do know that Viz is using the same masters as the Japanese releases so wouldn't expect their to be much if any difference? As others have commented the sets use a lot of recycled artwork so it's lacklustre effort...

Theres been a LOT of hot air about the Crystal Movies floating around off what is so far very little information.
All we've had is a very short trailer with no proper animation and just character designs and an empty official site.
Yet look how many pages it's generated of forum discussion ...
I agree - if its treated like the kaitebans of old it might be alright but if its just the same old thing just with different Nogi members that will be disappointing. (The later would suggest a pure punt to the Nogi fans over SM musical fans...)
Does any jpop / nogi fans heere have a lowdown on the new cast ? From what I can see they're relatively inexperienced stage wise?
In terms of what do I put down money for to go to Tokyo to see in person either the Akiko Kosaka day 2 concert or the Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight 3rd Live is more...
The question is how much will they actually change?
In the Bandai Era the Kaiteban's (Revisions) were interesting as there were changes / tweaks to the story and new songs put in but I'm doubtful that that kind of thing will happen.
Not to mention 2 of the main cast are apparently new...

Now the interesting thing here is we don't yet have a "season" in 2020..doubt it's spring so it's either going to be summer or late Autumn at this stage.
They're leaving quite a wide gap for themselves.
I think we'll have a nailed down release date by the end of the year for Japan purely...
