Sorry Yaten, but I'm also somewhat pessimistic when it comes to future Sailor Moon being made. If it ever did happen I would gladly watch it, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Given how popular it is to take old series and revamp them, I wouldn't be too surprised if in another five years (the 20th anniversary of the original) we saw some sort of revamp. Look at Transformers, for instance.

Every time I that trailer for Transformers come on, I have to stop myself from laughing. It's such a stupid idea - all my friends and I associate those toys with is young boys with an explosion and heavy machinery fetish. Adding in blood and seriousness will do nothing to take away its inherent childishness.

Then again, it might turn out to be really good.

But I doubt it.

On topic, they've brought back Evangelion for another, different series, haven't they? Like Eva at School or something.

college girls are clearly the movie's target audience.

BTW, what is the exact date of the Sailor Moon manga's anniversary?
The first Nakayoshi appearance was February '92, but AFAIK it's not known on exactly what date that issue came out.

Course, the first anniversay should be that of "Channel 44 / Pandora's Plot" - and since RunRun was quarterly that's an even more vague one (summer '91, according to Kurozuki).

And yet I see other trailers for movies like 28 Weeks Later and 300 and go, [BLEEP], must see. I'm not a chick flick person - I'd rather see blood than tears.
Maybe it relies on nostalgia.

I'd like to see a redo of the Sailor Stars anime, but more according to Naoko's specs--women disguised as men, not men who transform into women--and more in line with American television standards, so that the English-speaking market can finally see Sailor Stars on a licensed basis.

I want Sailor Moon with more blood and gore.. yeah!
In the new version, Zoisite is searching for Rainbow Kidneys. Perhaps not as bright and shiny as crystals, but there's this really wet sound when he makes them pop out of his victims... :rolleye:

I'd also want a new Anime that followed the Manga more closely, however I don't want an Anime that exactly follows the Manga. The reason I like the Sailor Moon franchise is because it isn't the exact same thing over and over, each version has its own differences that makes it special. I would also want the original seiyuu to return, as it would not be the same for me with different voice actors.

Oh I agree. The Manga still hold the key to my heart. Considering the possiblity of continuing the manga is more dead than of the anime or live-action, my heart is sad.

But If it weren't so, I would go for a anime after the manga storyline...with Rei's personality fixed.

Actually, if we're all dreaming here, I'd want a future with more manga...yeah. :P

I would love to see a new anime.
I don't think id want it to be a remake of the manga because i would want something completely new. Whole new villains, attacks, transformations ect. With new forms of the senshi.

Maybe it could take place in crystal tokyo? But id rather it still be them as teenagers.
