Maybe the subbers are taking "artistic liberties"? LOL. :D
"A Sailor Senshi is a moonlight real girl."

Perhaps one of the translators has hearing problems. I clearly hear (even more clearly in the album version) "Sera senshi sore wa MOONLIGHT MIRACURU" ("Sailor Senshi are a moonlight miracle.", or something similar) EDIT: Just listened to the song 3 times with my eyes closed - it definately says "moonlight miracle".

Maybe they are just upholding the tradition of VKLL and Pioneer of subbing Mako-chan to make her sound like a potty-mouth.
No, it is "Moonlight Real Girls." The lyrics that came with the CD clearly say that:

ムーンライト リアルガール

[Muunraito riaru gaaru]
[Moonlight real girls]

I personally think the line should be translated as:

A Sailor senshi, that's a moonlight real girl

which I think should be changed to

A sailor senshi, that's a REAL moonlight girl. (Which to me sounds less Engrish-y)

I think it sounds dumb, either way. Why describe a girl with "moonlight" anyway? It just doesn't work. It's not as bad as the "tears rain" from the second verse though.

On topic- Err, Motoki was very cute in this episode.

That was an awesome episode!! Makoto rules.

ahhh, MOTOKI!!! I LOVE MOTOKI!!! Hm and Makoro should get together. I like it would be real cute. And hmm, maybe he's not as dumb as we think he is.....it's all just a cute act!

Oh, Mamoru and his tan shirt....how sexy! And how he fall onto that couch!! YUM!!

And damn, I want more fight scenes like that! That was kick ass!!

And finally, Dark Mercury's transformation was really neat, much more "anime" like. I can't wait til they get new transformations! (Hopefully...)

And I want Jupiter to use her potpurrii (sp?) belt! That would be really cool.

It's just stuff Naoko (she did write the lyrics, didn't she?) made up because she thought it sounded 'cool', Japanese do that quite often ^_^
At least it makes more sense than, say, 'a crew sees cringe knees' :D

Okay, finally got this one watched. I am actually going to save it because of Sailor Darkury's henshin ^_^

I just didn't like that punch Mako gave to Tux. I mean, that was weak. Why couldn't she use the punches she did at thin air onto Tux? It seemed more like she slapped him >_> I know Mako's got more power than that.

The rest was cool. I love Darkury's henshin. I can't wait to see her beat the crap out of the other senshi.

I see Venus somehow gets involved.

I was so sad when I saw Mako crying when she found out Ami was now evil T_T

If the lyric sheet DOES say "Muunraito riaru gaaru" it is a typo. She clearly isn't saying that. Listen for yourself, she repeats it twice at the end, and those syllables are simply not there.

It clearly says ムーンライト リアルガール in the lyrics book. It's not a typo. It says the exact same thing in the lyrics book for the Kirari Single, the DJ Moon Album, and the Koro-chan Pack. They wouldn't make a typo in three seperate CDs. If you listen to it, Sae does say "moonlight real girl." You can hear the "real" and "girl" as two distinct words.

Now, to be a little more on topic, I shall say something about Act 21. I just love Ikuko. She's so funny. It's was funny when she was trying to get Makoto inside to try her new omlette. (I mean, who wouldn't want a lovely fermented squid flavored omlette?) She's so different than the anime or manga Ikuko, but I think it makes her more interesting.

Ikuko reminds me of my grandmother. I still haven't decided if that is a good or bad thing, lol. :P

Oh yeah, the topic!

This episode was painfully lacking in Miyuu screentime. 30 seconds of her crying into her nikuman just isn't enough for this fanboy! I love the fact that she does up her hair and dresses up in designer clothes just to hang out in her room and mope about Mamoru. Usagi, you are an inspiration to us all!

At least we didn't have to see Hina again. Did I mention that I dislike her? I really do. If Dark Ami would knock Hina off, I'd forgive her for stealing this episode from Usagi-chan.

Ikuko is an underrated treasure in PGSM. She hams it up so much that you almost see the other cast members struggling to hold back the laughter. She must be great fun to work with.

Easy there kiddo. You're talking about knocking off the woman I love.

surly bob, i gotta agree with sailorjupi... it's muunraito riaru garu. NOT moonlight miracle. if you listen carefully, you'll hear the last syllables to be "a" and "gu". pretty much confirms the whole matter.

i want a talking luna and artemis, but i'm not old enough for a credit card. Will have to wait for my pen pal in Kyoto to send me one. Or I'll kick her to Hokkaido.

Clean out your ears then. It's a typo just like "Naru Oshaka". Since it was made in the first album's lyrics book, it was duplicated in the other ones. Thats how Japanese organizations work.

It's definitely not miracle. That would be "mirakuru" and I certainly don't hear a "u" at the end.
It's definately not "muunraito riaru garu" because there are not enough syllables. The reason there is any confusion at all is because it wasn't sung properly in the TV version. Like I said, listen to the full-length version and you will clearly hear an english-sounding "miracle" at the end. "moonlight" is english-sounding, as well, so the moral of that story is when "speaking" in Katakana don't come too close to the actual loan word, or people will start thinking your saying something stupid like "moonlight real girl".
