Another character I'm developing for a fancomic I want to start up once I'm confident enough with my drawing speed and quality.
Soeaking of which, this is one of my first drawings with my new drawing tablet. Getting this much done took maybe 4-5 hours max. :D

Haven't figured on a civilian name yet, so for now just use the codename Arbiter. Note these profile statistics are mainly a rough draft. :/
Also, I'm trying to tie in my characters' backstories with events from the original anime. So, without getting blatantly obvious, let's see if you can guess what this guy's deal is. :P

Age: 16
Height: 165 cm
Affiliation: Death Busters (Revenant Corps.)

Backstory

The nephew of a notorious arms dealer, he spent a good portion of his time helping his uncle run the England-based offices of his wide-reaching smuggling ring. While his tenacity for excessive violence kept his uncle's other lieutenants in line, this tendency to act before thinking all too often drew unwanted attention from Interpol and other agencies.

This came to a head one day with a massive crackdown on the arms ring's major hideouts, including their main English HQ, leading to a destructive altercation with Sailor V that ultimately cost him his life... until Eudial (who had infiltrated his uncle's ranks seeking promising test subjects) found his body and reanimated him using an inert Daimon egg. Now, with most of the arms ring's strongholds either shutdown or reduced to ash, he was left with no recourse but to join Eudial in a new line of work as experimental soldier.

Characteristics

His primary asset to Revenant Corps. is his wide knowledge of firearms, as well as access to his uncle's abandoned supply caches. He has also proven to be potentially devastating in combat, exhibiting maniacal aggression and twitch reflexes which give him the drop on most lesser adversaries. This is often, however, a double-edged sword, as this hotheadedness and eagerness to blindly rush the opponent head-on often lands him in hot water when suddenly faced with opponents of significant strength and/or composition. Moreover, an initial bitterness he harbors towards Eudial leads him to happily disobey orders at any given moment, even despite the threat of termination at the push of a button. Still, his borderline-mindlessly aggressive approach--as well as an apparent fetish for scorched-earth tactics--make indispensable as a shock trooper whenever examples need to be set and lessons need to be taught.

TL;DR: Guy's ****in' crazy. lol

Just a rough profile here. Character development not really my strong suit, so any help here would be nice...

I can see you really take alot of effort in each of your character creations. Nice tie in to Sailor V, I like it.
Thanks!

So here's another one I got around to drawing. Figured I should just pool all my OCs into one thread.
Side-note: Not 100% satisfied with how this drawing came out, especially for a 12-hour piece. :/
Side-note #2: Again, this is just a rough backstory. Any help with this would be great.

Name: Iruka Kumada
Age: 15
Height: 160cm
Affiliation: Death Busters (Revenant Corps.)

Background

Despite coming from the wealthy Kumada family, Iruka was a passionate troublemaker, widely known in circles for his mischievous antics. After eventually being disowned by his parents, he started drifting around the city, with his brother Yuuichirou doing his best to keep him out of any more trouble. But even older brother Yuuichirou couldn't keep up with Iruka's strings of wanton mischief and criminal activities, ranging from petty vandalism to grand theft auto.

When he eventually grew bored of all that, however, he decided to up his game. One day, he got together with a crew of acquaintances to launch an armed bank robbery. They had successfully seized control of the bank, but were suddenly ambushed by Sailor Moon, who aggressively took down most of Iruka's crew-mates. Iruka himself slipped away momentarily, but was intercepted and mortally wounded by whom he then realized was a Sailor Moon impostor. As he was left to bleed to death in an alleyway, the Witches arrived to recover and reanimate his body before slipping away from the crime scene, leaving no traces other than a trail of blood leading to nowhere.

Characteristics

Despite an apparent need for excitement, Iruka is relatively aloof and laid-back. After exhibiting an above-average level of marksmanship, and an aptitude for camouflage. He was specially trained as a scout-style sharpshooter. To this end, his intended role would be to survey the action from a distance and relay tactical information to his fellow Revenants, as well as delivering precision attacks on enemy weakpoints. However, being quick to boredom from hanging out in one single place for too long, he has no reservations about getting up close and personal, although he often soon regrets such decisions. Otherwise, Iruka is shown to be highly resourceful, with a passion for solving problems in as unconventional a fashion as he can come up with.

It all looks better in my head to be honest... I guess, think of someone who fights battles the way Markiplier plays games... lol

Your art...is amazing!

The only quibble I have in terms of design is the build and facial hair of Iruka Kumada. Both his body's muscle structure and hair indicate someone significantly older than 15 (especially in anime which tends to visually age down characters), as in young adulthood. By contrast, Arbiter actually does look like a 16-year old.

Just a rough profile here. Character development not really my strong suit, so any help here would be nice...
You're selling yourself short. You've already fleshed out both characters enough as is. If you put them in plots they will develop because they are already realized as actual characters.

That's not to say don't ever refine them, but as they are now, they're more than ready to have their adventures.

Your drawing skill is good enough for a comic now, and the characters are strong enough to propel and react to the plot. Just do it.

Well thanks SO much for the feedback!

And yeah, I kinda randomly picked an age that's close to everybody else so as not to be... awkward or anything. I based in appearance on Yuuichirou's, but I have NO idea how old Yuuichirou actually is, and I can't find any sources that indicate his age. For Arbiter, I kinda injected a bit of Motoki's appearance, who I'm assuming is around 17-18, but again, can't really find a source. Like I said, all rough draft profiles, and will probably change as needed.

I'm also concern about realism (lol yeah). Example: Iruka's combat role is something of a sharpshooter (primarily to round out the other three Revenants), which is probably among the most training-intensive military roles there is. With his personality, coupled with the extremely short time on hand for training, I'm wondering if that's feasible.

For inspiration for combat scenes, I play a lot of Modern Warfare 3 (goddamn fun even to this day), because of it's fast-paced nature and flexible customization, kinda emulates the crazy Expendables-style action I'm envisioning. Not to mention it REALLY gets my adrenaline surging. ;) Biggest issue is... sniping is so goddamn boring in that game lmao, and I can't really think of anything sniping accomplishes within the context of that game. Same issue within the story: it's hard to envision an actual need for a specialized marksman, especially considering it's extremely unlikely anything they fight is going down in one or two shots, except maybe Combater Droids, or just using a Barrett. lol

I dunno, I'll figure something out.
