Weird, my ffirst reaction to that is.. does she ever close her mouth?!?? (in crystal)
She has it closed in one close-up shot, though. :P

I just realized, from the trailer, Moon was wearing no goggles shortly after seeing the comparisons. Kinda wish that sort of detail was included.

I think that's awkward scene picking on their part. I mean, she does have a whole lot of shock delivered to her in the first episode/chapter, so we'd probably all be jaw-dropped too in that situation... but they mostly chose scenes where she's surprised. Like that reaction shot when she's in the jewelry store (probably reacting to Tuxedo Mask), seeing a cat leap over her head, or the worst offender, her reaction to transforming. They focused on that shot a lot longer than the others so it kind of feels awkward that there's no animation other than her hair moving around.

That's really cool comparisons, though. I look forward to more of them. I am bummed about the mask/goggles, though...

I thought the same thing actually.

I realize it was scene selection, so I didn't let it really get to me.

Oddly, the Crystal motions seem to have exaggerated femininity compared to the manga, particularly when she's confronting the youma where Crystal has her standing on one foot and looking somewhat graceful while the manga just has her throwing the doors open angrily. :P

In a recent interview, the director said they really wanted to play up the femininity of shoujo mangas, so that's probably why.

So she is not wearing the glasses like in the manga?
Nope. Too bad since I would've liked to have seen them animated, but it's not like had them that long in the manga anyway. :P
