I ordered from but that was in December of 06 and now its May and I'm still waiting for the Sailor Stars DVD. I did email him a couple of times, but no reply. If any of you guys did order from him, how long did it take? By the way is there any extras in the dvds he has?

I haven't seen any extras on the DVDs. They're just crammed with entire episodes and pretty much nothing else.

Your unusually long waiting time is unusual for Omegapin. The guy is pretty quick. I remember an e-mail he sent in early January 2007 stating that he had gone on vacation to Japan and profusely apologized for having missed some orders and such. My guess would be that yours were among them. You should try writing him through his website again.

I was thinking about buying from there, but now I'm wary. BTW, are the subtitles on the first four seasons the same as on the official releases? Or did they make their own? If the latter, how do they compare?
To be honest, the subtitles are...less than stellar. I'm mostly getting them for the high resolution picture quality to make screencaps since I own cassette versions of the series in one form or another already and have scripts. :)

I just sent him an email today. Hopefully he'll answer. I'm going to the point where I'm just gonna buy the region 2 dvds (of all 5 seasons), which is actually worth it.

While Omegapin and I are hardly what I would call "best buddies", he and I have exchanged a few e-mails and seem to get along decently enough. I've e-mailed him on your behalf in the interest of trying to resolve the situation. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything.

I got Sailor Stars Series & The Movies (the letterbox versions) from Omegapin, and even though there's no extras, the video quality is TOP-NOTCH--especially the Sailor Stars Series.

He usually does quick shipping, so if he doesn't send you the videos within 2 weeks, like the other post said, "He's probably on vacation".

What are the letterbox versions?
Letterbox is wide-screen. Meaning it has the black strips across the top and bottom.
Don't forget to add that they're the "original" versions, meaning it's not like the full-screen Pioneer/Geneon version.
I heard that for the Sailor Moon movies, the movies were animated in full-screen and then strips were placed over them. Is that true? Cause if it is, then full-screen would be a bit better, rather than in the case of most movies where the full-screen edition is the edited one.

Are the subtitles on Omegapin bad enough to spoil the experience?
