I don't like any version of him myself, he's a good villain, but him creeping on Usagi is really unsettling considering he's like 18-22 (manga version is 18 years old, and 22 in Crystal), and I would have switched his deaths and Saphir's around in the story, or at least let Saphir live (Saphir's role didn't even make any sense in the manga either, he said Usagi was blameless and can go free but then he tries to kill her because he blames the Silver Crystal for his brother turning evil in like...two minutes afterward? :| The manga version of this arc sadly aged like milk). He did have a good voice actor in the original anime, the late Kaneto Shiozawa, who also did Aries Mu (and Black Andromeda) in Saint Seiya and the unfortunately just as creepy Hagen in Agent Aika.

The first season of the 90’s anime alone is better than any chapter of the manga and superior to all seasons of Crystal combined.

:kero:
There were some parts the manga version of the Dark Kingdom arc did better though (more of a backstory for Beryl, and the sword thing with Venus would have been cool, like if I would have done the first season of the anime, I'd keep that plot point in, have all the Sailors sans Venus and Moon get killed by the DD Girls and have Venus kill Beryl, but at the cost of her life).

he's a creep, and i hate him in all adaptations
That actually means he was a great character in all adaptations. The fact that we hate him because he is a creep means the writers/producers did an amazing job. The real monsters in Sailor Moon are not the youma (or monster of the day if you will) and Naoko does a great job of exposing and warning readers about who the real monsters are in this world. All of the villains is deeply emotionally flawed. In season 1 Beryl is the real monster and not Metalia, and you could say that Nemasis/Wiseman were not the monsters in season 2, it was the toxic Black Moon clan themselves. Metalia/Nemasis/Pharoh-90/Chaos are all evil tools but it is through their acceptance and misuse by emotionally disturbed monsters that the real conflict comes from. Interestingly in Supers (Super S.. whatever you fancy) Nehelenia is the emotionally disturbed monster and there is no higher power (except when she is in Stars manipulated into destroying her own dream mirror by Galaxia/Chaos).

Also, Prince Demande in Myu a real creep/monster too and they do not hold back. I can't help but feel for parents who took their young kids to watch that scene. By it is followed up by some great singing... One Heart

Wiseman was highly responsible for the war. Since the Black Moon's way was twisted by him.

Of course. And Chaos consumed Galaxia making her do evil things, and Beryl agreed to be Metalia's servant in return for evil power, and Pharoh-90 converted the DNA of those desperate to save their loved ones. But I'd argue these barely sentient sources of "evil" aren't usually who the Sailors interact with until a brief moments at the end. Beryl had a choice, Black Moon had a choice, Galaxia made the mistake of assuming she could consume and control all of Chaos, and Nehelenia made a choice to smash her own dream mirror. In making these decisions, whatever their motives, they became the real monsters.

To look at it from another perspective, think of an aggressive venomous snake. It bites and kills everything it sees. That's just what it does. Wiseman is the snake, but Black Moon are the people that consciously choose to use the snake as a weapon to carry out their ill conceived plans.

You can take this analogy with a lot of different things.. climate change, inequality, disease spread. Just because you are not stopped from doing something (such as not wearing a mask) does not mean that it is not hurting others (you may be in the early stages of having a disease and spreading it) and if you are aware of the facts you can still choose to make a difference, no matter how small. I'm not here to preach, I went shopping today without a mask. I'm not proud of it, I left my mask in the car by mistake, but when I realised I didn't go back to the car to get it... I could have. Black Moon could have rejected Wiseman/Nemasis.

Also Beryl did to Mamoru basically what Demande tried to do to Usagi. Beryl was even better at it than Demande. But this thread is not about gender stereotypes.

But Black Moon at first was trying to settle it with peace, their idea was twisted.

They are more human than the other evil organization and also chose to come back in the anime.

Also Demande did care his ppl, unlike Beryl and Galaxia were mostly for themselves.
