It would be nice to hear about people like parents or children in the family loving the series as much as it used to be... Additional info is good too.

Personally, I haven't shown it to my family let alone let them know of its presence in my watchings - but I can try it out on my mom as a little "stint" and see if she likes it too. She does enjoy watching RWBY with me after all. :3 (Oh, and she's around 50 years old and her favorite character is Yang)

My sister does. She's the one who got me into the show in the first place. Has a deviantart account solely with SM fanart.

My folks watched Crystal with me, and my Mom was really into the original series/movies. I plan to take my Mom along when I see the R movie in theaters.

My mom used to watch the dic dub in the 90s (mainly because I would watch it every morning before school P-: ) she thought it was "ok" at the time, she also watched pokemon
But she more prefers cartoons like pinky and the brain and other similar cartoons
In addition I have two cousins my female cousin watched the dub back in the day

And my other cousin (from another uncle) kept up with the series and even saw Crystal, he showed me pgsm when it first came out and thanks to him I was able to have my own copy of Sailor Stars in 2006

I had many friends in school both male and female who watched the dub during toonami and we'd discuss episodes during recess

I turned my mother into a big fan of Sailor Moon. We still have one more episode of the original anime to watch and we'll have seen it all and she's seen all of Crystal and a small bit of PGSM. I actually first started showing my mother some Studio Ghibli movies which she really loved (Arrietty is her favorite) and then I moved on to showing her Sailor Moon. It probably helps my mother has always loved both animation and she loves soap operas and Sailor Moon is basically one big animated soap opera. But actually my mother loves the goofy comedy scenes the most over the more dramatic angsty scenes. The 90s anime is her favorite version, though she still enjoyed Crystal a lot. And Chibiusa, Luna, and Mamoru are her favorite characters. I even got her a Chibi Moon and Princess Serenity figure for Mother's Day and her birthday one year which she still has. I showed her the first few episodes of PGSM but she didn't seem to care for it as much the anime versions. I think I might try it again on her after we finish the original anime. I'v also shown my mother all of Madoka, some Mamoru Hosoda movies, and I've shown her a bit of CLAMP. She's seen a few episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth and enjoyed them so far but we just have to finish Sailor Moon before we start on anything else.

I started showing my mom the dubs and later subs of Sailor Moon, mostly season 3 and the movies. She thought they were okay, but didn't seem overly interested, although there wereva few inspirational standout scenes to her that she really liked.

After I read the complete manga series I kept telling her she would gain a MUCH better appreciation for the story if she would read the chapters on Sailor Saturn/ Mistress 9, but she never really got around to reading them. I got the first season of Sailor Moon Crystal on DVD and was surprised to discover her to be glued to the TV while I was watching (she was even paying more attention than I was, lol. I was busy with other stuff and just had it running for background effect). Just a few days ago, I sat her down to watch the back half of Sailor Moon Crystal season 3... And let me tell you, she did a good job of hiding it at first, but I could just FEEL the feels exploding inside her once things got really intense. Finally after we finished (we only intended to watch about an hour's worth of episodes, because she was waiting on a TV show, but we finished the series instead), she told me it got to her so much, she didn't even want to watch TV anymore. I asked what she thought about it, and she said she LOVED it!

My husband watches Sailor Moon with me in any media. =^_^=

I've noticed it seems like newer fans who didn't grow up with the original series seem to be much positive towards Crystal than a lot of the old time fans are. I've heard of lots of stories of fans getting their boyfriends into Sailor Moon through Crystal etc.

My oldest niece used to watch it with me when she was younger, but she was never really that into it. Some of my cousins in Italy grew up with Sailor Moon and liked it. Last time I went to visit, I drew a picture of Sailor Moon, and my cousin proclaimed "Guarda! Principessa della luna!"

What does that mean? "Guardian Princess of the moon"? lol

My brother is also a fan of the show. The two of us are even doing our own fanfiction of it together we have watched the show together many times. We even saw every episode, movie and special of the 90s anime.

Seems that way.

My husband started with the dubs like I did, and I *think* he still prefers 90s over SMC, but I would have to ask. I got him into the manga and he absolutely looooooves Sailor V the best of all of them. :D (Although he hasn't read past vol. 3 of the main manga.)

I personally got into the old dubs in '00, then the subbed/ original Japanese and the manga about a year or so later. At first I would have still chosen the 90s anime over the manga, but the further I got in each series, the closer I felt to the original manga. Sailor Moon Crystal has completely stolen my heart now, to the point where I can't tell if I love it or the manga more.

Hmm.. well back in the day my sister and I used to watch some Sailor Moon tapes I had and we used to laugh at the crazy faces Usagi or Mamoru or Chibiusa would do in some episodes but other than that I'm the only one in my family who enjoys/watches Sailor Moon. My oldest sister HATED Sailor Moon so whenever I got to sleep in her room with her she always said no whenever I brought my SM tapes in for us to watch at night. I think I forced my mom to watch it with me when I was a lot younger (because cartoons were the only thing that kept my attention lmao) back when it was on Toonami. There was a time where me and my mom were staying at my grandma's house and my grandma came into my room and complimented on my wands and said how pretty they were (Idk if this counts lol) but she doesn't like cartoons so I don't think I could get her into liking the show.
