June 30th is her birthday as you all know, that is, Usagi (and Chibiusa and Chibi Chibi's)

And I'm going to bake her a cake like I did last year!

BTW, I'm almost positive the hiragana are wrong, and that's a crescent moon, not a smily face. I will do better this year.

Towards that end, can anyone slip me the hiragana for Usagi?

I know some of you may find it excentric to celebrate a fictional character's birthday, but hey! It's a flimys excuse for cake! P-:

Wonder what it would be like to eat an Usagi cake in Azabu-Jûban.

I kinda wish I could play dvd on my pc. I'd take a pic of Usagi's tag when she pics up Mamoru's in PGSM :)

You'd have your spelling! *coughs*

Your "sa" and "ki" should look exacly the same, but ki has 2 strikes on top. (and then the " to make it "gi"). U is write with a \ and the ? under it(without the dot). (You can round the lower part of "sa" and "gi', but the real writting is close to this.

Code:
  \ \ / \ / "
  ___ x x /
/ \ / \ / x
     | \ / \
     / \ \
    / ' '
   / , ,
  / \____, \____,

EDIT: my ascii didn't come out right, trying to fix it.. well this is the best I can make it appear

People at the party were commented how awkward it felt to be cutting up Usagi (with an exacto knife). We actually debated what would be the best to slice off first, and settled on the odango, which was given to me.
The cake from your tour looks great, but I guess that is a point, it would feel awkard to cut her face. :P

@ Jawstrock: I'm sorry, I can't follow that. :( I'd like a picture to work off of.

@ Ruby Tuesday: The reason I missed the 'U' was because I went to Hitoshi Doi's encyclopedia, and found 'Tsukino Usagi' written in kana. I couldn't fit all that on the cake, so I made a guess at where the tsukino ended. Wrongly. P-: Don't want to make that mistake again.

@ Kikyo82: I'd like too, but the timing's never as convenient. Also, I will get fat from eating that many cakes. ^_^ Maybe someday I'll be able to manage such a ritual.

Oh yes. Last year Usagi's cake was made a bit late. Looks like it will have to again this year, since my anime convention overlaps. At least I can go around announcing it to people who might care. :P And afterwords, I can invite some friends over to share the cake.

Here, I made picture using the character sheet from an online teacher.

Both version are correct. The loop is due ot the movement you naturally do to write this hiragana. (so something you make a loop, but the "correct" writting is without it(althoguht I have no idea if the loop as become the norm.. since I just see it everywhere nowaday -_-;)

Enjoy.

@Jawstrock, the loop became the norm because I just looked at my sister's manga and saw it written like that.
