How would a Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon crossover work?

Sorry to rain on the parade, but I have to nitpick a bit:
  • Why should we pair the Saints with the Senshi, especially breaking up the two established pairings and turning gay Shun (aside for the infamous scene where he heated up Hyoga and performed a Cosmo-powered version of a common survival technique, he showed only hints of being heterosexual) and Mamoru (very definitely heterosexual)?
  • While a Saint Seiya version of Selene may have existed, she's most likely dead, considering how, in recent times, the Gold Saints killed the major Titans (and for recent times I mean they finished off Kronos a few weeks Seiya arrived at the Sanctuary).
Also, there's a number of potential contact points between the two series if one wants to make a shared universe. In chronological order:
  1. Wakagi investigating the sudden and unexplained death of every single girl at a boarding school in the mountains of West Tokyo-and potentially stumbling in the culprit, Cancer Deathmask (the girls, actually Saintia (more or less, Athena's female combat handmaidens, distinct from female Saints such as Shaina and Marin) had been possessed by spirits loyal to Eris, and Deathmask was sent to deal with that)-encounter with Saintia Sho.
  2. Minako went to Greece once... And the area she fought Hibiscusy looks suspiciously like the ruins of the Old Sanctuary, just outside the current Sanctuary proper.
  3. Minako goes to watch the Galaxian Wars, becomes curious when she realizes those guys aren't some strange gimmick but have actual powers, and gets involved with Ikki stealing the Gold Cloth.
  4. Why did Docrates ran from the police? Because he knew they were coming with Sailor V.
  5. When Poseidon starts flooding the world, the Sailor Soldiers intervene.
  6. In Saint Seiya-Next Dimension, Saori decides the best way to save Seiya from the cursed wound inflicted by Hades is to go back in time to break said sword before it can would Seiya, and goes to Chronos, the Primordial God of Flowing Time (to not be confused with Kronus, the Titan of Harvest), for help. Sailor Pluto is stated to be Chronos' daughter, and has apparently taken over his duties.
  7. The obvious one, for better conflict: when Neo Queen Serenity is elected queen of the world, Athena's Sanctuary tries to assert its customary role as ruler in the shadows, role enforced by the Saints... Except Neo Queen Serenity and the Sailor Soldiers can actually overpower even the Gold Saints. Cue war.
Yeah, everything is possible in cross overs, but I don't think the themes of the two shows would allowed it.
Agreed. Having the Silver Millennium predate the Greek Gods and then use one or more of the contact points listed above would be better.

House of Libra scene is anime only first of all. In the manga, he just kneels behind Hyoga and lifts him up. Also, I never said to pair Shun and Mamoru? I go for Shun and Minako. It doesn't even have to be like outright romance, just a lot of ship tease would work. Also Episode G is non-canon, so Selene can exist. This whole crossover would be non-canon anyway, like a side story.

I wasn't thinking of making a shared universe like that, just a typical crossover where a common enemy unites the Saints. Anyway, my idea so far involved Selene wanting to make use of the Sailor's power or something to get stronger and sends her warriors(who are based off mythical nocturnal creatures, out). Athena would sense something is up somehow and sends the Bronze Saints sans Ikki to the Sailor Soldiers place. They split up with Seiya and Shun while Shiryu and Hyoga to investigate. Like at some mall or something, Usagi and Minako would be there and Shun would notice Minako drop something(henshin device maybe) and gives it to her, and Minako notices his gentle nature while Usagi does her usual fawning. When Seiya arrives, I figured he and Usagi wouldn't get along. Meanwhile, Shiryu and Hyoga would be near Rei's shrine and she would get a premonition of the two of them and be suspicious and meet them with Ami and Makoto. Shiryu and Hyoga would notice something coming from her and feel she might be what Athena was talking about while Rei tells her friends to keep an eye on them. Later, Athena would host some event/party in the town where the Saints and Sailor Soldiers meet up and interact(like Shun and Minako get to know each other, Ami would talk to Hyoga about Siberia, Makoto and Shiryu over martial arts, while Seiya and Usagi would bicker and Rei would get involved when he makes her cry somehow). Then one of Selene's Soldiers would attack with grunts, causing the Saints and the Sailor soldiers to battle them
