Now they're starting to drag myu into it. NOW I will get pissed off.

Some moron is trying to bootleg PGSM, Anime, and Myu CDs.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5947196790

Not only are they obvious bootlegs, he claims all of the CDs to be "limited edition", which none of them are. And the CD covers are actually half-assed fakes of the originals.
Personally, I have used the "ask the seller a question" option to ask him why he was selling bootlegs with crap covers, not telling anyone they weren't official CDs, and claiming them to be limited edition, but what you do is up to you.
Spread the word, please.

5$ is reasonable shipping cost. It's surprising to me that it's not more.

Anyhow, how do we know that the CDs are bootleg? It's possible the person just took covers from the net (some are from the old Compleat list). There's nothing I can see that says that these CDs are not official albums from Japan. And "Limited Edition" gets thrown around too much anyway in pop culture that it's lost complete meaning. Most of these CDs are probably out of print now, except the PGSM CDs, so saying "limited" is not necessarily wrong.

The covers are slightly different. The Love Ballad Edition cover isn't even close. And the myu CDs are still in print.
If you go to the person's website, they do nothing but sell bootlegs of Japanese CDs.

Hang on, I see what you mean about the Love Ballad Edition now, I had overlooked that. It looks like the Eternal Edition cover, but with Love Ballad written on it... yet the image as the "Compleat" watermark on the corner. Odd.

Random question, does your name have anything to do with Andy Comb's Dark War fics which have a Macavity character?

And have I asked you this before?

Why is the eBay seller an idiot? He's doing what he thinks will get him a few extra bucks. It's freaking illegal as hell and wrong, but an idiot he's not. If anything it's the people that buy from this guy fully aware (or even a little bit suspicious) that he's selling bootleg "SM" merchandise who are the idiots.

They are, but he's not selling them. The only ones out of print are 1993 Gaiden, 1994 S, and 1995 SuperS.

Nope and nope. We likely got the name from the same place, I'd think. 'Macavity' is a TS Eliot character based off of Prof. Moriarity from the Doyle series. I think there's also a band and a mystery book award with the same name as well.
