Since there are threads dedicated to animation errors in the 90s anime and Crystal, I thought it might be fun to point out, document, and laugh at some of the art mistakes in the manga. I'll start.

First, the infamous panel of Praying Mantis!Sailor Uranus from Act 47:

From Act 8: On the first page (pre title pages), we see Venus drop both of her gloves (for some reason). When next we see her arms clearly, they are gloved. On a later page, she removes one glove (again, for...reasons...) only to be wearing both gloves again in the bottom panel. Venus's gloves: they're as inconsistent as Pluto's backstory, role, color scheme, skintone, and occupation!

From Act 9, Beryl's shield and sword switch hands from one panel to the next:

Unfortunately it's not really apparent in Miss Dream's scan, but when the Inners transform in order to teleport to the Moon in Act 10, Venus appears to be using a transformation pen that matches the other girls'. (If you have a copy of the revised manga, you should be able to see what I'm talking about.) This page was redrawn from the original edition where Minako is clearly using her normal pen.

The Uranus mistake bothers me to no end. It even got left in the reprint. It's very apparent Takeuchi got lazy after R when it came to editing the reprint manga. Eventually all the touch ups were adding noses to characters, haha.

There's a panel in the Dream Arc where Mako-chan randomly has her tiara on. It was fixed in the reprint.

If I were the (creative) translator, the line in the top bubble would've become "WHATEVER HAPPENS TO MY LEFT ARM".

[EDIT]
[Re: The preceding post] And the bubble in this panel would've become "Tuxedo Mask, I think I'm possessed by the demon from The Exorcist".

This may be off-topic but, I really don't consider Usagi/Sailor Moon to be one of the Inners. I'll save that for another time.
Interesting thing regarding the last picture is why Venus' first transformation pen looking identical to the other three, was it inspired by the 90's anime?

Can't believe I forgot to include this page from Act 18:

Kotono should be the one channeling Rei and Naru should be the one channeling Ami (though the latter is still a weird choice. Yeah Naru was in Act 16 but it's not like she and Ami had any meaningful interaction. Naoko should have built up Ami's friend from that chapter a bit more and had her be the one to channel Ami's spirit).

That's not a mistake, but a plot choice you don't agree with

Naru's being present is a plot choice with which I don't agree. Naru's channeling Rei's and Koan's spirit whilst Kotono channels Ami's and Berthier's is a mistake. It makes no sense and serves no narrative purpose. Considering that Crystal changed it so that Kotono channeled Koan and Naru channeled Berthier, it seems even the generally clueless people at Toei recognized this as a mistake in the manga.

I can forgive most errors, except for Uranus's giant insect arm. What bothers me is that they didn't fix it when they re-released the manga.

I've said here in the past that if they'd ever release a full-color version of the manga, that arm would still be there, in its full, brilliant colors.

This isn't technically a manga art error (rather it's a continuity error), but I thought I'd mention it here.

In the "Codename: Sailor V" manga, Minako uses her Crescent Compact to disguise herself by calling out "三日月パワートランスフォーム!" ("Mikadzuki Pawā Toransufomu!") ["Crescent Moon Power Transform!"]. Yet both times she uses it in the "Sailor Moon" manga, she simply calls out "ムーンパワー!" ("Muun Pawā!) ["Moon Power!"] (which, of course, is the phrase Usagi calls out when using her disguise pen).

Between that and Eternal Sailor Moon's ever-changing transformation phrase, it seems like Naoko wasn't great when it came to remembering her characters' calls, and Osabu was obviously not a very observant or meticulous editor. And if not even Naoko and Osabu could get these details straight, maybe we can give the DiC/CWi dub a little slack when it comes to their own continuity errors. ;)

^ Another continuity error is Usagi not knowing who Sailor V is at the beginning of the manga, when in Sailor V you see her and Naru excited to play the new Sailor V game.
Did she really not know who Sailor V was in the manga I thought that was just in the 90s anime I thought she knew who she was in the manga. Could you provide maybe the scene where she didn't know?

Very beginning of the manga, page 12 in the Kodansha release. Usagi and her friends were talking about jewelry store robberies and Umino says Sailor V caught the robbers, to which Usagi replies, "Who's that?"
