Do you mean that they took out the heels and it looks flat? It happens with Jupiter too. It's just so that they can flip and "fight" better. If they did all those in high heels, I'm sure most of them would get ankle sprains.
lol...yes,i realized that! BUT: i think they want no one to realize it,i dont know why,but also during a fight they suddenly change
LOL...its just like power rangers D
Well, the producers sure don't try to hide these changes. For instance, I think it was Act 9 or 10 (the Tuxedo Mask episode), they showed a panning shot of Mercury and Jupiter from the feet up. They didn't have the heels then. And for Sailor Venus's beady ornament hanging from her bow, they like to take that out too. And the filmers always seem to shoot from the back of Venus' head and the lack of the ornament is just so obvious. They could at least take it out just for the flip scenes.
Actually, that was what made me wonder the most in both manga and anime, how do the girls manage to run and fight in those shoes?
It's impossible, they can't do that in real life, so they have to settle for no heels in the fight scenes.
no, not while the fights when they flip...i mean just while standing or walking...and well I mean I walk with highheels for hours and they should do it because the movie...they want a good movie, dont they? so...i really dont understand that especially because they werent that high but now with this "shoes" it looks like *argh* just look at them...also in the episode where ami and naru fight at each other in the back of the boots is a long line that looks too strange
They did have the heels when twirling in the first few episodes right? I forget because I don't want to see them twirling every again. If they did alright then, why not have the heels?
I realy dont know why they change them...especially I dont think they have to do the flips or special things so they have not to change them. It looks so cruel
I don't think they would have changed because of the action required. It's possibly because they are real boots and not necessarily "high heeled". In the case of the musicals, they all have "high heels", or dances shoes. The difference is the foot still has room to move because the taller boots are simulated with the plastic coverings.
I would think it was because Moon and Mercury's earlier boots confined their ankles too much and they couldn't easily move them to perform the flips and such.
The first mask of his looked so cheap, like a paper mask or something. I like the black/blue outlining they did, and it looks more like a mask then the first one. However, I don't understand why they added the jewel. Oh well, I'm use to it now.
Yes, he is a dork, but then again I can't see Tuxie punching back.
Running around in any kind of heels is difficult. I'm happy for the actresses if they don't have to wear them. However, with Mars and Venus it's kind of impossible. Poor girls.
I didn't knwo they changed Venu's bow. I'll have to look for that one. I wonder why they would?
I wouldn't know that running around in heels is difficult, seeing that I'm a guy, but... those heels aren't that steep, if you ask me. The only problem I would have if I were to wear heels (which is almost never) would have to be running on a smooth and shiny floor. There's always the unpredictabililty of slipping!

Now, now, the "golden rule" is to not hit girls [back]. Unless it's a showdown like Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Then the competitor "game face" and no-holds barred action begins.
You do realize that the "Sailor V" costume and the "Sailor Venus" costume are supposed to look completely different, right? They were different in the anime, too.

I think what they meant is during Venus' transformation you can see the new beady ornaments dangling from her bow but most of the time during the episdoes, a close up shot shows no ornaments.
It's just inconsistencies/goof ups..every show has that. Don't worry about it. It's not important.
Same thing about the heels I suppose. I remember seeing something on the Toei web site about each senshi having lots & lots of spare shoes cuz they get wear down pretty fast. The heels were missing probably to make it easier for them to run. The heels are back when they need to look all feminine. Again, if you happened to notice the heels were not as high...don't worry about it~It's just a show and the storyline is more important.
