Nakayoshi Fan Mail Corner

[Memento]

Beginning with the March 1992 issue of Nakayoshi (containing Act 2), each chapter of the manga was followed by a brief section where Usagi, Luna, and Naoko respond to fan mail. These "Fan Mail Corners" aren't especially illuminating, but they are pretty cute and fun, so I thought I'd try my hand at translating them (via Google) and sharing them with you guys. Here are the first few months:

MARCH 1992

Hello. I'm very happy that this new series is starting. As soon as possible, please tell me Usagi's birthday, blood type, and star sign.


My birthday is June 30, my star sign is Cancer, and my blood type is O. I wonder if anyone's the same as me.

The TV anime was cool. The transformation scenes and the opening theme were super awesome.

Yep. That's Naoko for you. From the very beginning of her career she didn't beat around the bush and stated it clearly and loudly what she values and works for. And this is not drawing manga.

Well, she tried.

Upon finalizing "Sailor Moon," she created "PQ Angels." It was a "complete disaster," according to Wikipedia, and to make matters worse, Kodansha lost the manuscripts that she had completed.

She then created "Love Witch," which was discontinued after only 3 chapters.

In 2006, she created "Toki Meca," and "Toki Meca" was actually the only series she completed after "Sailor Moon" and "Sailor V."
