Hello!
Ive grown up watching all the Sailor moon episodes, and I want to see what Sailor Moon Crystal has done with Nephrite episodes. Hes there but..
Looking for the episode when he dies, I can't find it.
Does he even die in Sailor Moon Crystal!?
Such a shame, my favorite Sailor Moon episode!

The whole Naru and Nephrite arc was anime original. In the manga Jupiter killed him in act. 5. In Crystal they added a backstory for the generals to be romanticaly connected to tje guardians in the past, but in a clumsy, forced and rushed way that nobody liked and most people ended up hating the anime for this strange move. The 4 generals died all at once, wiped out by Metalia, without any dramatic resolve or consequences. So if you like their characters stick woth the old show and do not expect any Naru connection. They had zero personality in Crystal asmost of the villains.

Yah they tried to do the sxs thing. Somethinf nako intended for the mange for short stories. I kinda wish they just add two more episodes to resolve it.If your respecting crystal to be like the 90s anime. You better off sticking with the 90s anime

I love that this post perfectly captures what’s wrong with Crystal. It keeps all the weakness of the manga and gets rid of all of its strengths.

I also love how later on Mamoru still have stones and sometimes chat with generals and ask for advice, like even animestaff was like "Yeah, lets ignore that anime original part, it never happened" :)

I hope they make some magic bringing them back for the finale of Stars to redeem themselves, but in 2060s people would have forgotten about them completely.

I will say, as someone whose favorite leg of the franchise is the '90s anime, and absolutely loved the dramatic Nephrite / Naru story and the Zoisite / Kunzite story, I am open to the Shitennou / Senshi pairings... I was curious what Crystal Was going to do with that. I wish they'd devoted a little more time to doing it well. Crystal has some decent points to it and it's worth watching if you've already enjoyed the '90s anime and the manga and want to see a third take on it. I only wish they had been a little more adventurous and made a hybrid continuity grabbing good ideas from both, instead of a pseudo-retelling of the manga. At least the Shitennou got an image song in Crystal ("I'm Going Down"), and it's a pretty good one!

But yes, to reiterate an answer to the original question, the death of the Shitennou happens near the end of the first season when Metallia disintegrates the lot of them the moment they start to remember who the Inner Senshi are. It's really short an abrupt, and if it were an RPG compaign I'm pretty sure the shitennou's players would've ragequit the group over such a "rocks fall, everyone dies" conclusion XD Then again, Nephrite's manga death was even more abrupt, and gruesome. Nephrite just can't win.
