New Sailor Stars Fandub (Fighter4luv)

Some of you probably remember when I was throwing around the idea of making 2 English versions of Sailor Stars (Uncut Translation & Edited Adaptation).

Well, I have finally decided to go through with this huge project and I have set up a site with all information, even a forum.

If you're interested at all, I have plenty of opportunities for you to help out with, whether it be a voice, writer, ideas, etc.

There is also an audition application which can be found within the Stars page, so feel free to check that out too.

It would be kool to get everyone to take some part in this production to make it look as professional as possible.

Well voice acting is a lot different because you'll be on your own when doing it. If you really want to though, fill out an application and I can send you the audition lines when they are done.

Why did you put massively spoiler-y footage from the very last episode of the season into the opening sequence?

My guess is that if you're going to watch a fandub of Sailor Stars, you probably already know what's going to happen anyway.

Well, yes, but one of my favorite things about the opening sequences is that they wouldn't show characters until they actually showed up - like the original opening for Stars showed the Starlights as just shadowy figures until they actually showed up &c.

Ive got some experience with my voice, tho its mostly announcing-type reads. Ive got a smidge of voice acting under my belt tho. Ill have to slap together a voice aud. I just hope I have the time to participate if Im needed.

Well people who haven't seen it won't know its the very last episode till they watch it will they?

Didn't you see the original DIC opening? choc-full of clips of the final battle against Queen Beryl, so mine isn't very different. It doesn't give too much away, I made sure I didn't put anything major... I just used the shots of when Usagi and Galaxia are facing off, and no real fight had started yet.

That's a good point. I have managed to edit out almost all the shots of her naked battling Galaxia up until the end part when her friends reappear... then all you can see is her butt, so I don't think I'll be as strict as DIC on that one... coz there isn't really much I can do. I could do a digital bakini as Strawbaby said... but I don't know... Anyone got any ideas on how they think they would make that scene G-rated?

I just wanna say I absolutely LOVE the opening sequence! Watching it is sooo nostalgic! And I love how it's modeled after the original opening--using the inner attacks, Usagi kissing Mamoru, etc. Very nice!

I'm excited to see where you take this!
