I'll make the movie start off with shots of different planets and their people, leading to the scene in the manga where Galaxia overhears of the Galaxy cauldron (and Wiseman cameo!).
Then I'd make the movie based around fight sequences. I'd have lots of blues and golds in the palette and the girls would look more mature.

If i would advise the director anything i'd say
1. Show us some decent battle between Galaxia and outers (well a recording of it from their castles). Dont keep it as just the second of their deaths. Maybe also expand (even if just a little) on castles in general if possible
2. Make Starlights deaths a little more meaningful. Make them go down in a fight.
3. Show us more action for Asteroid Senshi. I would LOVE individual attacks for each and maybe even transformations?? I know im asking for too much
Obviously "give us a meatier wedding" should be athing but since everyone is asking for this i'll keep my ideas as above

Just finished the anime 'K'. I have to say there's this character Lt. Awashima who shoots blue energy slashes with a sword would look great traced on a fan animation stock footage. The show actually uses her stock footage multiple times and its great reminding me what should be 
's Space Sword Blaster if Shingo Suzuki, Hiromichi Kanazawa or Susumu Kudō did the concept for the animation. Character designs are very Clamp-ish too.

The animation quality looks so top-notch, but yet they have to include major fanservice in an ATTACK SCENE. I'm glad they didn't follow this path in Crystal, as flawed as it is.
I know, it's pretty much just LOOK A BUTT. The sword effect at the end is neat and the quality of the animation is pretty good, but yeah.

Chronos Typhoon is the one most fans have a problem with seeing as how it was copied from a fan made video.

EIther bring back Ikuhara and/or Junichi Sato or get another top-tier director like Anno, Urobuchi, Oishii or even Miyazaki himself on board. Stars being arguably the most mature and deconstructive arc of the manga deserves it.
