@Jawshx thanks for the review!
Can you tell us more about Jupiter and venus’s attacks?
Does the leaves of oak crown have its own “will” like in the manga? Does oak evolution play any differently to the 90s?
Does Venus physically grip the whip of love when attacking?
Thanks!
She does grab the whip but it’s after the stock footage ends, if that makes sense.

Jupiter is almost exactly the same as the 90s.

One-hit KOs? In a movie?
Honestly... I was preparing myself for animation issues and was fine with it, but this is a bit too much. Well, I'm still watching the movie, but out of the hype train.

It is the most disappointing aspect for me, personally. I would say even Crystal Season 3 had better action scenes (so far!) I think it all comes down to the runtime, though. They had to fit everything into the 80 minutes and the action scenes were out on the back burner. It’s a shame because other than that the animation overall is a slight step up from season 3 (no off model-ness) and the character acting is good. We can only hope part 2 delivers something meatier.

I think we'll get more action scenes in part 2 cause as you've mentioned the manga is a mess on the latter half of the Dream arc. That's what I love with the last 2 episodes of Season 3. It added and changed a lot of stuff with the final battle with Mistress 9 and Pharaoh 90.

On a slightly more negative note, the faithfulness to the source material is also one of the movie’s downfalls, in my opinion. The movie rushes by at breakneck speed trying to fit everything in and it at time feels like there is no time for the characters or story to breath. ..............................................

Furthermore, fight scenes are very straight full forward and are all one hit K.Os. Anyone who was expecting Precure hand to hand combat or some interesting fight chereography, I’m sorry to disappoint you but there is none :(
After seeing that Twitter spoiler I really wished they could've added more scenes. ^_^'

Would've been nice to see those remless (Is that what they're called?) Fisheye was summoning clash in midair just like this.

awesome. also the instagram.user labour moon has a a story with pictures of what looks like a movie accompagning booklet
Spoiler: show
it shows chibi usa and usagi, and they may not say "she looks like black lady" but she has the same rose / black colour scheme which does remind you of black lady. Also phobos and deimos are shown in the picture , artemis as human helping minako, and attack stills of everyone , and the artemis peeking at showering venus picture .

So is there any moment where Jupiter gets her oak leaf crown? Is the crown somewhat implemented in the attack? I fear there is one big missed chance...

I think everyone mentions on here how if anyone that never really gets as much changes to them, it's Jupiter. She usually maintains the same all around. Her attack looks like it would be the perfect defense/offense against the Killer Sea Urchins the Quartet keep throwing out at everyone.

Before the attacks begins the crown appears from her head. She does the attack exactly the same as in the 90’s (just with the crown) and then the green flashes of energy kill Hawk’s while the Quartet run away (well, rather they teleport )

Even Hisashi Kagawa wondered ^^

At the same time Jupiter got the best episodes in Crystal...

No explanation why it appears? I find it also disappointing that there is no promo art showing the inners with their weapons.

Not that I can remember. It’s just a shot of her looking startled and then I think her Guardian prompts her to use the attack. Sorry! My memory is already kinda hazy.
