isn't wiseman but Chaos, in the end she telling Galaxia "I'm your mother". She resembles wiseman only in appearance. It represents the first meeting between Galaxia and Chaos.
in fact Galaxia defines after this dream the search for more power and a star all for her an insignificant dream of the past.
He's identified as Wiseman in the character round-up illustration.

Will u do that with flanagan next, i will miss the series so much
I no longer have copies of his translation (and since there are no scans available, I'd have to take photos of the pages I was reacting to and that would be very awkward and time consuming), but I''m thinking of doing the Eternal Editions when I'm done with Tokyopop. ;)

I always thought it was Wiseman time traveling to whatever point of time that was (he did live in the edge of space-time) to deliberately point Galaxia to the Galaxy Cauldron and meet with Chaos.

I always thought it was weird that in Stars Sailor Galaxia’s actions causes the future to change despite there being no evidence that Galaxia was a time traveler, so if she’s part of the regular timeline why would she have any effect on Crystal Tokyo? However; it makes more sense to me if originally Galaxia was never going to find the Galaxy Cauldron until essentially Wiseman meddled with the timeline.

So essentially Wiseman became Sailor Chaos in the new timeline.

Galaxia has time travel/manipulation powers in some of the musicals, so there's a chance Naoko intended that in the manga as well and it just never really materialized in the story as she wrote it, but I think the reason her actions are affecting Crystal Tokyo are simply that she's put the existence of the Sailor Team in jeopardy by taking their Sailor Crystals, and if the Sailors all died in the present and stayed dead, of course the future would cease to exist as we know it. The only reason we see what's happening is because Chibiusa has returned to the 30th Century; it's quite possible the Death Busters' and the Dead Moon Circus's actions also impacted the future and we simply never saw that because there was no focal character in the future for us to follow.

Well, Naoko originally intended Galaxia to be Sailor Chaos before she wrote the final plot of the manga.

Just keep the fun going. But flanagan is in my opinion the worst translation available, so it is sad we cannot make a review of that masterpiece.

towards the end it is said that Chaos and all the enemies who had fought were all siblings born from the same star, isn't "wiseman" a camouflage that unites them?
The appearance of wiseman could be just one of the many ways in which an evil entity manifests itself in the eyes of the people.
it's like a disguise that they can take on as they please.

The manga says Chaos and all the other enemies are Sailor Moon's and everyone else's "siblings" because they all came/come from the Galaxy Cauldron. While it's possible there are more than one evil being calling themselves "Wiseman," it isn't some kind of unifying mantle. I mean, I don't think Metalia ever went around in a cloak calling herself "Wiseman."

VOLUME 18 (STARS 3)

ACT 7: STARS 7 (Part 1)

Their bodies are supposed to be on fire? Can't wait to see this panel in color in ten years.

Just add water to any Sailor Crystal and watch as your Sailor Scout grows right before your eyes!

1) I do think it''s cool that Galaxia is really the only villain with a change of clothes (barring Kaolinite and the Witches 5 I guess)
2) I want to know why Galaxia doesn't kill Phi and Chi after their failure the way she killed Nyanko. I just noticed that Phi, Chi, and Galaxia (when she's in Sailor mode) all have that same weird topknot thing...are the three of them connected in some special way that makes Galaxia more sympathetic towards them?

Whose Sailor Crystals are those? Mnemosyne's and Lethe's? Surely Galaxia already had theirs? Galaxia herself took Mars's and Venus's Crystals... If those are Jupiter's and Mercury's, what took so long? (They're not the Starlights' since Chi gives those to Galaxia a few pages later.)

Is this flashback to Super Sailor Moon at the end of the Infinity arc just for the audience or is Galaxia remembering this? Because if the latter...how exactly does have that memory? Was she there? ???

I don't even particularly like Galaxia, but Crysternal Stars better deliver on a Galaxia transformation sequence. (Also, I love that Galaxia just straight up gets buck naked before transforming. Lady Godiva realness.)

Headcanon / Fan Theory: This is Cocoon. Cocoon is never mentioned in the manga, but given the whole soul butterfly thing, I don't see why Cocoon wouldn't be a cemetery planet populated with cloaked gravediggers and pallbearers, and since this setting otherwise goes unidentified, I'm going to say that this is Cocoon. It makes sense that it would be near Mnemosyne's and Lethe's space desert underworld rivers or whatever, and Lethe was rocking a cloak not unlike the ones worn by the figures here. (Related headcanon: Pluto, Cocoon, Mnemosyne, and Lethe are all part of an Underworld Sailor Soldier team as evidenced by the presumed proximity of their bases to each other and how each has a forbidding gate/doorway.)

I wonder if there's any special significance to these headstone designs. Like, why have the Starlights' got six-pointed stars on theirs? Why are Moon's and Chibi Chibi's free-standing Celtic crosses while Kakyuu's is a Celtic cross mounted against a regular slab?

"I'm the final Sailor Animate, the Soul Hunter (is that related to Zirconia's "Soul Hermit" title? Who cares!) Sailor Heavymetal (which should be two words but Tokyopop has given up at this point) Papillon (Rose), funeral planner to the stars!"

PART 2

Can't wait to see this attack animated but 1) Why is it called "Pink Lady's Freezing Kiss"? Is it an ice attack?; and 2) It's a shame the Quartet only got group attacks; I want to see each of them get an individual attack in Crysternal Stars.

"Amazonus"

"Palus"

What is going on here? Is that a bandage? Is that a microphone/headset? I'm so confused.

Okay, but like...again...no... That doesn't make sense. I mean, unless Galaxia went back to Earth just to kill them, or they just spontaneously exploded, it doesn't make sense for the cats to suddenly be dead. (Also, side note: Are all the swing sets in this arc meant to be a metaphor for the loss of childhood innocence or something?)

No, but really though: is it "Sailor Chibi Chibi" or "Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon"? (And when was it established that she had traveled through time???)

Omg, Chibi Chibi is NOT an "it"!

I absolutely love Galaxia's Gothic castle, but if there isn't a hunchback ringing bells and talking to gargoyles somewhere on the premises, then Galaxia has failed and should have her palace repossessed.

What does being a "Star Gardener" even mean?

Phi should never ever ever ever say, "Wow!"

If Crysternal doesn't go all out with Kakyuu's transformation sequence...

Girl, this is not the time to be playing 52 card pick-up.

"Kinmoku Fusion Tempest" + "Flower Hurricane" combo attack, please?

So, let's review the Anima Mates' deaths:

Iron Mouse: Managed to deflect Space Turbulance and Submarine Violon Tide, but got killed by Star Sensitive Inferno
Aluminum Siren: Deflected an unnamed Mercury/Jupiter combo attack and Space Turbulance, got killed by Star Serious Laser and Star Gentle Uterus
Lead Crow: Deflected Mars Flame Sniper, defeated by Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss
Tin Nyanko: Deflected Star Serious Laser, later killed by Galaxia
Heavy Metal Papillon: Defeated by Amazones Jungle Arrow
Sailor Phi: Defeated by Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss
Sailor Chi: Defeated by an unnamed attack from ESM

What exactly is the power scale here? Lead Crow and Sailor Phi were both defeated by SHTK, so does that put them on the same level? Where does that leave Chi? Tin Nyanko is possibly stronger than Aluminum Siren, but it's hard to judge for sure. Papillon was defeated by the Sailor Quartet, so either they're really strong as a group or she's pretty weak. Iron Mouse's death suggests Star Healer is stronger than Uranus and Neptune combined. I really feel like this is all just random nonsense and Naoko put zero thought into how powerful any of these characters is meant to be.

The most brutal moment in the manga.

Can't wait for the color manga to turn all that blood light gray!

So maybe the Infinity arc flashbacks are just for the audience?

But which of the Inners/Outers is this? I'm gonna guess Venus or Uranus?

I really wish the manga delved into this more. Why was their planet such a hostile wasteland of violence? Why didn't they do something as its Sailor Scouts to restore peace? Did Galaxia perhaps feel some empathy for Mnemosyne and Lethe, since she too came from a "trash planet"?

I mean, Lethe has a point. Whether she sides with Moon or Galaxia, either way there'll still be violence. She just wants to be happy with her sister, and she'll ally herself with whomever she thinks can best help her realize that goal. Can't blame her.
Lethe and Mnemosyne reminds me of Honoka and Nagisa of Futari wa Precure.

I tend to think the Stars Manga might have looked less rushed if Naoko pushed through with the original pre-production plot of the Manga where the anime was based, although I admit I want to see and read the originally planned plot of the Stars manga with the originally planned backstory of Galaxia.

That aside I think, Naoko needs to fill the gaps in the actual manga plot in the crystal as well.

ACT 8: STARS 8

Jupiter and Neptune sure get sassy when they're evil.

And the award for the Most Pointless Filler Page goes to...

What is going on with ESM's skirt here?

Darien's evil again? Must be a day ending in y.

Why are their attacks the same when

theirs have been Galactica-fied? Is it just so ESM could say

because if so, that is LAME. I want Galactica Aqua Rhapsody, Galactica Flame Sniper, Galactica Oak Evolution, and Galactica Typhoon.
(Also: bonus points to Tokyopop for changing "Galactica Violon Tide" to "Galactica Violent Tide.")

Random thought, but I wonder if the Galaxia bracelets in any way inspired the bracelets the Sailors wear in the live action series?

I wonder if "Venus Love and Galactica Shock" is why I always think this attack's regular name is "Venus Love and Glamour Shock"?

I wonder what the "real/good" versions of Galactica Cannon and Galactica Gale are called?

I wonder if this scene is meant to be a throwback to this scene

from Act 11/12?

"Star Light Honeymoon Kiss"

"You lost your wings...and now your outfit looks 20 times better."

Odds will get you 10 to 1 that they mess up the stock footage for this in Crysternal by giving ESM her wings in it.

I'm sorry, but there's just no way Darien's :cthulhu: is so incredible that literally E V E R Y O N E wants to [censored].

So Galaxia's responsible for the high cost of living? She truly is the greatest villain of them all.

The SFX are out of control.

Since Galaxia is narrating her backstory here, shouldn't she not have the Sapphire Crystal as previously shown? *shakes fist* Continuity!!!!

Did ESM just use her crotch to blast Galaxia?

This raises an interesting question... How old *is* Galaxia? (And Kakyuu and the Starlights too, for that matter.)

Hey, they finally got it right!

Sailor Galaxia: Sponsored by Party City

*shakes fist* Continuity!!!!

Will Galaxia ever find her star?

Another iconic moment for Crysternal to mangle.

Another iconic moment for Crysternal to mangle censor.

Embraces all, not loves all!

I've never understood why Galaxia suddenly loses her bracelets and disintegrates here.

Another iconic moment for Crysternal to mangle censor.

The reason the North American dolls had no noses was simply out of faithfulness to the manga!

Cosmos's noodle arm and Uranus's mantis arm are my new limb OTP.

I hope everyone who worked on this botched translation gets a Nep-hernia.

If the Sapphire Crystal isn't her Sailor Crystal, then what is it and where did it come from?
She was shown without the brooch on her flashbacks, perhaps Chaos gave it to her.
