Do you think Wedding Peach should be rebooted and done strictly following the manga. I'd also like to see a Remastered of wedding peach with a redub. The english dub wasnt bad the only thing that was off was the transformation calls and attacks the VAs (mainly Daisy) was often to shirll and shirky.
Yes Wedding Peach needs a reboot anime series that is more faithful to the manga and it would be amazing if that happens. I seriously want Wedding Peach to have a remaster re-release for DVD and Blu-ray too along with new merchandise. It can be possible for Wedding Peach to get a redub if the company who gets the rights to it in the future thinks it's necessary.

That is true and it's not easy to remaster an older anime sometimes. So since Viz Media is out of the question, I'm guessing maybe Sentai Filmworks could be the one who can remaster the Wedding Peach series. As for Funimation, I'm not really so sure about them since they have been dealing with a lot of issues lately.
Nobody can do a decent remaster of Wedding Peach without the actual film materials. And they are most likely lost, otherwise they would have done remaster for the DVD version in Japan. The masters used for these DVDs are washed out, interlaced and are not of a very nice quality. Every attempt to enhance them will only make it worse. I don't see the show being re-released/ rebooted at all as it is not popular and a lot of more popular stuff at least in Japan, which is what they mostly care about, don't have proper remasters. Let's be realistic, out of all the shows that can get reboot Wedding Peach is the least likely. Plus the manga is not that different from the first anime - both barely have any plot at all.Still would be nice but sadly wont happen

I don't know what is this new trend about every anime reboot being "more faithful to the manga." Can't we have some new stuff. Besides from what I have heard most everyone seems to think the anime of Wedding Peach was superior to the manga.

It actually is. When themanga is significantly different and some old show was unfinished or stray to the point it feels like adifferent thing, having a closer adaptation as a reboot is not a bad thing. Wedding Peach is not such case, the anime is not that different to begin with and actually has much better development. The only reason to want a reboot is because the old show ended up without remaster and the currently existing or probably out of print Japanese DVDs has a laser disck quality. As materials most likely lost remake is the only way the franchise can be revived, but while it has some fans, I doubt they have any interest reviving it.

I doubt masters of the show even exist. As far as I know it is in limbo. Too bad because the animation was very pretty.
Shame. :(

If it should follow the manga, it shouldn't have the designs of the Love Angels from the manga, those designs were godawful (purple does not go well with Yuri/Lily!).

I think a Sailor Moon × Wedding Peach crossover anime could work, since their settings, designs, & formats are similar enough to make them compatible w/ each other. That'd also be beneficial to both franchises in that they'd then have brand new stories. :)
I agree and that would be very amazing to see too!

As a big fan of Fruits Basket Ialso tought about it but ended up saying it is just me. Cannot wait for te new show start adapting this part of the story. The new direction is pretty great for thesedarker stuff and mystery and te director has made moents shine bright in tis new adaptation.
Just to make sure we're on the same page, you know I'm talking about

right? That's who you were thinking of too? If so I'm also relieved to find out I wasn't alone in thinking that the parallels between them and Mamoru & Usagi were simply uncanny! I can't help but feel or at least wonder if Fruits Basket mangaka was a big Sailor Moon fan or at least got inspired by it, Sailor Moon had just recently ended both it's manga and anime run when she first started Fruits Basket too.

In fact thanks to seeing the similarities I actually got inspired to start my own Sailor Moon/Fruits Basket crossover AU fic where there's another timeline that Pluto's guarding where Serenity and Endymion have been reborn as those two people, should I message you about it sometime? ^^

Sailor Moon certainly lends itself well to crossovers with all the similarities and parallels it has across the anime and manga spectrum lol.

If the production values and quality control is equal to :usagi: Crystal season 1 then the answer is no. Now if its to be given to a proper animation studio like A-1 Pictures then its a yes.

I won't be surprised. Either way this part of the story works so well, that I cannot blame her. Fruits Basket is amazing and I am glad they treat it so well! I wish TMS worked on Crystal...

I only watched the first half of the series, but I can say I kind of enjoyed it when I was younger. It wasn't as bad as people made it out to be

Yeah, the manga-accurate reboot of Fruits Basket is absolutely amazing when compared to Crystal! I don't know why Naoko just doesn't take the IP away from Toei and sell the rights to another studio already, besides anybody who was even responsible for making Sailor Moon a hit like Junichi Sato and Ikuhara aren't even at Toei anymore!

I am not sure but I beliece Toei have some rights on the franchise. Some contract stuff. While she might not have been able to do that she could have been more in charge the way Takaya is now. It took three seasons to actually supervise the thing. Hope it is a good thing and she is indeed involved.
