Yeah without credit which doesn't make me happy but..what can ya do lol.
That's why I've started adding either my email or DA url to images. Most people don't want to 'steal' they just want to 'share' so usually they leave the credit on and it goes along :D

Oh my, I love you designs. I also like your art style, it's refreshing to see Sailor Moon fanart done a bit differently.

Oh my. <.< My waifu is very good looking. ;) xD

Seriously I love the design. It's a strange mix of fuku and activeware.

I'm not sure how to sugar coat this (and not sure if this is even necessary), so I'll get straight to the point. If you have an actual passion for art, then ten years is more than enough time to learn how to draw from a scratch, get enrolled into art school, graduate, get a dozen different jobs in art & design industry, open and close your own art studio, have your own kids and teach them how to draw, invent your own art style and write a book about it, even for somebody who had zero art skills in the beginning.

But after whole ten years passing all I see is that your drawings still look like low qaulity amateur works of somebody who only started to learn drawing a couple months ago, at best. Not a single hint of improvement. This reminds me of that SAILORMOONRED guy. When he made his first awkward doll movies ten years ago with atrocious diction, blurry camera, nonsense and monotonous plots, they looked funny. But when he started producing the same videos for ten years in a row without bothering to ever improve anything, it wasn't funny any longer. It was just sad.

If after ten years passing a wannabe youtuber still didn't learn how to make videos without incoherent mumbling and clearing throat every five seconds, they are doing it wrong.
If after ten years passing a wannabe artist still didn't learn anything about basic anatomy and art techniques, they are doing it wrong.

So if nobody during those ten years had the courage to say it to you, I'll be the bad guy and say it: you are doing it wrong. Your drawings are bad. Amateur artists have an excuse for their bad art because they are only learning. But after ten years passing you can't have that excuse any longer. If art is not your thing and you cannot, or don't want to improve, you should have invested your time and efforts into something else instead.

This is not a personal attack. It's valid critisism, and if you know how to handle it, it may be way more useful for you than all that silly praise coming from people who just don't want to offend you and tell the truth.

WOW you have got to be joking! Your "criticism" comes across as "just give up because you suck". Where have you seen my art 10 years ago? I should actually post something here from that time to SHOW improvement.

I DON'T want to have my own studio or comic I do it for fun. Your opinions are COMPLETELY unwanted and your assumptions are wrong. I'd love to see someone draw like this from a "few months". This attack against my art was completely disgusting.... don't like it? don't say anything, but to tell me I have no talent is quite rude regardless how you attempt to claim its "criticism".

Anyway I shouldn't even be bothering with someone's "criticism" when they cant even spell the word correctly....:umno:

This is completely a personal attack. Your criticism is condescending and rude AT BEST. Who are you to tell somebody else that people are lying about enjoying their work? Or to tell somebody that their work is “sad” or to make assumptions about their art or what they want?

What a joke.

thank you! I really don't give a flying **** what this person thinks but like come on... criticism is telling someone they are on the right track but suggesting improvements... not flat out telling them they up right are horrible. There is a fine line between criticism and bullying. I know I am not the BEST artist but I spend time trying and have fun with it on my spare time.

I want to put this out there first: Onesurvive, I like your art style. It's something different from what you usually see and I appreciate that.

My personal opinion on Mara's post is that HOW he delivered his message maybe went a bit overboard...but, all the same, I understand what he is saying and I'm worried you don't understand it. Here's the thing: the art you posted the other day, and the artwork you shared with us in February, looks like it might as well have been made back in 2009 when you made the very first post in this thread. (EDIT: I'm just seeing now that the first page has been edited...and there is a "2014" on one of the pieces. So have you gone back and edited that first post from 2009 with newer artwork? Because if so, then nevermind.)

Now, in some ways, that can be a good thing. It means you're consistent. You picked a style and you're sticking with it.

I think what Mara is trying to say is this: 10 or so years later, ideally your work should look a bit different. But I'm seeing that the colors, for the most part, still look flat and the shapes still lack depth. If I were you and if I wanted to improve, I would focus on experimenting a bit. Try a different color palette. Experiment with different shades of the same color in one part of a Senshi fuku that's supposed to be one color. Consider trying new ways to layer a character's hair.

I think Mara is just comparing your art from 2009 (again, it's right on the first post of this thread) to your art from 2018 and is seeing that it has the same overall "issues" though some might find them charming. I'm in the middle myself. I like your work and it's certainly better than I could ever do. I think you're talented/skilled and your style in portraying the Senshi is really bold. But it would be nice to see finer details.

Mara said some unnecessary things but overall, his critique shouldn't be completely thrown away just because it was quite harsh. There is value in that. When I was writing, especially back in college, I spent a lot of time hearing other people deconstruct and critique my work, sometimes in extremely harsh ways. It's painful, but there is a lot of value in that. I hope you can take the core of what Mara is saying -- that 9 or 10 years should generally show more improvement than the examples you've shown -- and consider what it really means.

Of course, you might have improved in other ways we haven't seen. But I definitely think that the artwork you've shared on this thread from 2018 very closely resembles the artwork from your first post in 2009. I don't think the artwork is bad. It's charming. I think it could just be a lot more dynamic.

EDIT: And for what it's worth, I love your Suited Sailor Senshi. I think that when you really learn how to utilize small details to enhance the larger image, your work will be truly fantastic. But despite the relative flatness of your artwork, I like your art direction.
