Interesting. It looks more Takahashi-esque and now I wouldn't be surprised if he returns as CD (it would explain all of the delays if they were waiting for Kon and Takahashi's schedules to clear up).

The irony of this is that a new Aikatsu series was announced so nothing's changing for Takahashi.

Other than the Saint Seiya 3D/CGI flick, I hear that TOEI movies have very good quality.
Saint Seiya's 3D film was visually STUNNING. Most fans rejected it because their favorite characters got no spotlight, were heavily redesigned, or got their gender changed.
But the actual animation quality was great, same for Dragon Ball films.

OT: Bored of waiting for news on the new films.
Oh, interesting to know.

I grew up watching Saint Seiya, was never a huge fan, and I thought that 3D film, visually, so strange... didn't know the movie had been rejected by loyal fans. Which characters had their gender changed?

It looks more or less the same to me as the art style they used during Usagi's dream about her wedding in episode one of season three. I don't think we can really learn anything new about the season four art style from these official art pieces and I'm not sure that Toei is intending these to be representative of any sort of new art style. http://sailormoonscreencaps.tumblr.com/ ... 2299170878
Yeah, I agree.

I will be surprised if they change the art style, character designs, again, to be honest. I think that changing the style would add another inconsistency to Crystal, and I feel that a inconsistency as big as changing the style --again-- could get fans annoyed and make the fandom get even more divided.

I believe they'll maintain the art and style of season 3 and just deliver a more polished product (it is a theatrical release, after all).

Konin Todoke Seisakujo/Design Laboratory for Marriage Paperworks has offered various types of marriage registration papers inspired by the Sailor Moon Crystal anime franchise. The Tokyo-based company today added a newly designed one titled "Miracle Romance" featuring a wedding scene between Usagi and Mamoru.

The company started offering marriage papers using images of poplar characters, such as Hello Kitty, One Piece, and Hatsune Miku, since November 2014. The papers have been purchased/downloaded over 16,000 times per month, which is about 30 percent of the monthly number of marriage registrations in Japan. As with the previous ones, the 3,000-yen set contains three papers (two for submission, one for a memory), and of course can be used for official registration at government offices.

Wonder if they also did divorce forms, which Sailor Moon characters would be featured on them. lol

They made Scorpio Miro female. Most of the Golden Saints were heavily redesigned as well, and barely resembled their 90's counterparts, except for Pisces Aphrodite.
Most fans disliked the film. It didn't got the amount of hate Dragon Ball Evolution received, as Saint Seiya is a smaller franchise, but it was a similar situation.

OT: I don't think that new artwork is an indication of S4's artstyle, it looks like some random illustration for merch and that's it.

A drawing of Seiya would feel appropriate for the occasion.
