It is impossible that Eternal SM Part 1 cost is just 100.000$, its ridiculous. Do you know how many people work in a movie for MONTHS in preproduction, production and post production? Japan has good salaries and they spend lots of hours at work, most of the times working more hours than the estipulated. The minimum salary for a full time job in a month in 2019 in Japan was 1467$. Just calculate the amount of people who work for the movie ( animators, directors, background artists, musicians, colorists, screenwriters, editors, production company, voice actors, etc... ) literally hundreds of people for months. Just paying the minimum salary for 3 months to 50 people is already 221.000$.
So no, just seeing the amount of people who works in a movie like this and having real economical numbers on hand you can see a 1h20min movie like Sailor Moon doesnt cost 100.000$ to make.

Know the fact...DOREMI didn't went out in the middle of pandemy like right now in Japan...
Doremi has as well (as i know) not a huge internationnal fan base and a netflix deal in progress... So what SM lost in Japan in Theathers will be 100x hugger than DOREMI at the end...

I'm only talking about Japanese territory, not the whole world.
Once again, even though it's during the time of Covid-19, frankly, me the Covid-19 will never stop me from living my life.
If the restaurants, cinemas would have remained open in France, I will continue to go there. Just like my trips to France, I go to other cities to go shopping, even if it means 250 km. As I said, I respect the barrier gestures, the instructions, but the Covid, will never prevent me from leading my life normally.

I keep thinking the possibility of a live action Sailor Moon being a thing. I dont know if it will be a good thing but with cartoons like Yu Yu and Winx Club having live action versions...I keep thinking someone might have the idea of a Sailor Moon live action film on Netflix possibly one day....

i hope not the winx club live action series was horrible never resemble much the animation parts, so i hope no one from america touch a sailor moon live action, the movie of death note was horrible and dont talk about dragon ball so if not done in japan or supervise by naoko or someone that know about the series read all the mangas and watched the anime 90s and crystal for me is better not to do it

The Winx Club I have never seen, but today I tried watching the tv series live action. I have seen glimpses of the animation and this is a completely different thing. Is it me or one of the character has been replaced?

I'm pretty sure Naoko will supervise. The guy who made it said that it would insane to make a cartoon into a live action show because well with a cartoon you can exaggerate all kinds of things but now they are using real girls and want to reflect it in a way all girls can relate.
I haven't seen it myself but saw a preview. I like the real look of the cast but I also saw some outrage. I didn't check much into it but the girl who plays Bloom is cute. I may look at it to see what it is about. I'm not a huge fan of Winx Club but know of them and maybe this version is friendly for general audiences. I think they took a darker route to the story but I'm not sure, yet.

maybe it would be difficult to animated a transformation like a magical girl but they could add some wings resemble more what they are
and they have to change the personality of the girls making the typical personality prototype

some friend said is another series with the name winx club i dont remember much the name she use of the other series
if they dosent have the money or things for doing it i feel like is better they didnt do it, like i dont know this new superheroes series like titled it flash and than they put another thing nothing to do with flash people wouldnt like it

I guess with Sailor Moon Crysternal it's all about the female approach of the the material. Chiaki Kon is cool, a co-direction of Junichi Sato would have been even cooler though. He directed the fan-favorite season 1 and gave us the iconic Super Beryl fight.

I truly don’t understand this assumption that if Sailor Moon Eternal had a different director, they would suddenly get a ton of creative freedom that would allow them to change course from following the manga.
Crystal has gone through so many staff changes and even different styles, but the end product is the same. An anime that follows the manga closely. They could literally hire a new director for Stars and nothing will change. Junichi Sato or Ikuhara is not going to have more say than Naoko Takeuchi. It’s not 1992 anymore, guys. I’m sorry to burst everyone’s bubble.
