Hello!

Is the Sailor Moon is broadcasted in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Iran or India? Is not broadcasted in my mentioned countries, please post reason that!

I don't think it was ever broadcast in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq, not too sure about Qatar and India.
It wasn't show most likely due to the themes and nature of the show in the context of very rigid religious nations.

I don't think it's been shown in those countries either for the said reasons as the above poster posted.

Not to sure about India and stuff though and religion. I get a decent amount of likes for my series from people from India. I should go and see if Sailor Moon has ever been broadcast there. I don't remember even knowing for sure. Be interesting to see how the opening would be adapted.

Don't know why India never aired it while Indonesia did, but even The Powerpuff Girls needed censorship in order to make it to the UAE. It kinda explains why Sailor Moon never made it there.

The two countries are pretty different in many fundamental ways, despite the same spelling in the 1st three letters of their English names. lol
I said that because Indonesia is more conservative, with large percentage of muslims in the population. Re-airings of Sailor Moon there have blurred bodysuits lol

I see, but the country may not be that conservative - it's already got the miniskirt idol group JKT48, an overseas sister group of AKB48, since many years ago, even long before China got an equivalent one. :oh: BTW, India has got an AKBG group, MUM48, only very recently & it's still in its planning stage AFAIK. lol

Chile please you think Saudi Arabia would broadcast Sailor Moon?! This is a nation where the morality police literally let girls burn alive in a building rather then let them out because they were uncovered. Listen to what Francine said here.

^ The situation regarding women's rights over there has started (albeit slowly) improving recently, tho, thx to their reform-minded Crown Prince. So hopefully this trend would continue & accelerate. :)

Really kevoso96 Saudi Arabia airs Winx that is surprising?

However for Sailor Moon I suppose it would be much more challenging. There are tons of stuff in Sailor Moon that is very Pagan for instance not to mention the LGBT themes. I could never see Saudi Arabia airing Sailor Moon.

The Moon Palace has got notable features in Islamic architecture, tho, not to mention the moon motif. :)

Well I wouldn't call the architecture Islamic. It is Arab architecture that predated Islam but you are right the Moon Palace is definitely inspired by Arab architecture I believe in particular the Taj Mahal
Agreed - should've said Arab architecture instead for better accuracy, tho you've got my point anyway. :)

What? No! The Moon Palace is inspired by Palladian architecture, Palladian architecture - Wikipedia

Naoko followed a theme.

Princess Serenity's dress is also named Palladium; Dior drew inspiration from Palladian architecture to make the dress and named it Palladium.

You may be right, but it still looks pretty Arabic/Islamic to me, perhaps partly due to the moon motif? lol

This isn't a topic I know much about, so the only thing I can trust right now is my eyes.

Based on what I can see from the photos in that Wikipedia link, SOME of the photos (1 or 2) look like the Moon Castle, but others look completely different.

Whereas if you look at the Taj Mahal and compare it, the similarities seem a lot more prevalent to me.

If Takeuchi did indeed draw inspiration from Palladian architecture, then I think she also peppered in a ton of influence from the Taj Mahal which draws from Persian architecture - -especially if you look at the Taj Mahal from the main entrance.

Basically...Takeuchi draws from both Eastern and Western astrology and mythology when it comes to crafting her Sailor Soldiers, their powers, etc. I'm sure she can do the same for the architecture of her buildings.
