Season 4 movies update: Sailor Moon Eternal - Delayed to 2021 (Part 1 on January 8th & Part 2 on February 11th)

The chorus part makes me happy. Maybe because I imagine the five senshi together in their school uniforms with Usagi interlocked between Makoto and Minako and they are having fun but the very last few seconds of the song make me think of that. It's strange.

At first, I thought the verse was boring, but after listening it several times, I became to like the song a lot!!

I think we should wait to see the song in context. The intro is campy I agree, but the rest gives me a Seira Myuu vibe, while the chorus I adore at the moment.

While I prefer Moon Pride, personally, it is miles better compared to whatever the season 3 OP was named. This was completely out of place lullaby.

While Mitsuko Horie is a legend, the song was obviously not fitting for her voice. But she did best with what she was supposed to work with.

Am I the only one who liked New Moon ni Koishite more than Moon Pride? (I love Moon Pride, too, but I thought New Moon was really beautiful.)

I don't dislike the song. In fact it is a great song, just I don't find it fitting - even Moonlight Densetsu while ballad was upbeat and set a mood of excitment. New Moon is too mellow and fit more as an ending. Kon really wanted to be Ikuhara - hiring the same singer as he did for Penguindrum - and she was a great fit there, but here... Some people do not like Moon Pride, but it was way more fitting the show. But Season 3 didn't care much about the songs fitting their purpose. I can never forget how Chibi Usa "died" in a very dark scene and suddenly we had the completely jolly silly ed 2. And the third ending was a travesty.

The new songs starts a bit weird, but it has that old Sailor Moon feeling they are trying for. The begining makes me feel Jungle

Same. Moon Pride is incredible, but belonged to a way more action oriented show than Crystal. New Moon fits more with the tone of the manga which is why more romantic and melancholic.

Whether you prefer Moon Pride or New Moon, I think we can all agree that it was bizarre for the 26 episodes of season 1/2 to have the same OP and ED while the 13 episodes of season III had three versions of its OP and three different ED songs (one of which was terrible and one of which should probably have been the Black Moon arc ED). The imbalance will bother me to my grave.

The fanservice Mamoru song should have been like in the first season or something. The Chibi-Usa one sounds mighty happy despite the events going on but meh. I just pretend it was supposed to be for Black Moon or something.

Mamoru song should have been for the second part of Dream arc, and ChibiUsa song should have been for Black Moon.

I don't care for Moon Pride myself but most of the hate it got was over the translated lyrics since Crystal was the opposite of that, especially during Season 1.

Big deal, many TV shows have had the same kind of cliffhanger, 90s anime included.

Nah, Chibi-Usa's song was awful and overtly syrupy. After seeing it for the first time, I skipped it for the rest of the time I watched Season III.

And the endings (along with eyecatches I've noticed) also show how the staff on Crystal don't seem to realize that there were four other members on the Sailor Team who should have been just as important in Crystal as they were in the original anime and manga (if you've noticed, while they focus on Moon, Mamoru, Chibi-Usa, Uranus and Neptune [and Pluto and Saturn in eyecatches], it's just them, there's no Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus!). If they had just acknowledged stuff like that (and made them more useful/better used in Crystal), then none of the mess of the first and second seasons probably would have happened and I wouldn't have been so angry and frustrated with it!

I'm generally a fan of Momoiro Clover Z's other songs for the series (and that includes their take on Crystal III's OP); but yeah, this new one seems kinda bland aside from the chorus... which makes it kinda telling that that's all we've heard in the actual trailer.

Now that it was mentioned. Very little attention was given to the Inners for some things. I know it's hopeful wishing but I hope that the Inners get their own theme songs when they transform. It would be a good time to give it to them.

I know the music from the 90's and Crystal are different but I believe Queen Nehellania had a really creepy song in the 90's whenever she appeared. I wonder if she will get something similar when we see her scary silhouette?

So many cues I am curious about like Moon Gorgeous Meditation tune..etc

Really anxious to see this. Better prepare for a flurry of YouTube reaction and response vids.

Mercury, Mars, Venus and Jupiter at least will have their song in Dream arc, and they already have their character songs! One for each of them, one duet with another person, and one with the whole team!
What about Pluto and Saturn? Poor them.
