Season 4 movies update: Sailor Moon Eternal - Delayed to 2021 (Part 1 on January 8th & Part 2 on February 11th)

Having just finished reading the Dream arc, I didn't find the second half to be confusing; it's just incredibly rushed.

I cannot say it is rushed, as you can read in your own pace, but if you adapt it as anime without revision it will feel rushed. But I think if they manage to adapt part 1 as well as it seems, part 2 is way easier to present in a coherent and well paced way.

For the love of God, please don't let this movie bomb in the box office. I would even pay to watch this movie online with Subtitles but there's no way to do so. I'm really concerned about the numbers due to COVID. Great numbers = more future projects, along with merchandise sales. I really want this to be a smash hit! I have not seen this much publicity since the 90s! Not even Crystal received this much notoriety over a release. Well then again, it's a movie.

That series is a totally different example from Sailor Moon. The studio did a very, very good job. After the TV series was aired, the sale of manga boomed.

You will see it on Friday? Can't wait to hear your opinion! One of the most interesting aspects of the movies is, they will (have to) resolve the confusion of the manga.

Because “Sailor Moon” allegedly makes its money from merchandise sales, I think TOEI should release the movie digitally on Netflix and encourage fans to stay home and not go to any movie theaters—assuming that there will be any that will not be closed.

Look at how crowded Universal Studios was just 2 months ago. It's no different from the malls here. It's like "F*ck social distancing!".

I dont think most people care about the virus that much. The majority of people have no or mild symptoms and the death rate is rather low from what they say.

Being that we are generally social creatures I think it takes its toll on a lot of people having to social distance so much.

And look at all those humans wasting precious energy...Queen Beryl will be pleased.

I personally, would love to see it in a theater for a cinematic experience but I recommend to get a nice projector, and stereo Bluetooth speakers or any good speakers to connect to it and get you some gaming/recliner chairs for tour own personal movie theater. It's the next best thing imo. Watching Eternal in a dark room broadcasted across your bedroom or living room wall as you lay in bed or sit in your chair smacking on goodies would be a 2021 treat for sure.

TOEI won't cancled the theater release. With the ammount of promotions it got they're clearly expecting good box office numbers. In the worst case they will just delay it again.
