Not hopeful about a UK release seeing as the last Sailor Moon licensed product we had here were the DiC DVDs back in the early 2000s.
Oooo another UK expat in Japan?

What part you from? I'm fron Wigan near Manchester :booze::booze:

I was supposed to be back in the UK now so I could get my daughter in to nursery before starting school this September but wth how COVID is going it's anyones guess. First task is get a COVID jab here and then hope the UK government gets off it's touche and gets the R rate down to a point where it's safe to return.

Well if you’re buying Blu-rays you can buy the Australian version who used the same region code as Europe... but sadly they (Madman) always produced them in very small quantities so you have to order almost immediately when it’s out...

(I’m was not able till now to find the SuperS movie and the season 1 from them “out of stock” since months...)

They have a temporary exclusivity. Afterwards, a publisher can negotiate with Toei to release the series on DVD & BLU-RAY. This is a streaming contract, that's all.
My understanding is that Netflix originals stay on Netflix forever?

I don’t expect an English BD until at least the end of 2022 to be honest, especially if Viz end up being the distributor. Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is now technically a Netflix original, has a BD set due out this year in multiple territories, 2 years after hitting the service, through GKids.

That being said, I hope GKids gets Eternal personally, because the authoring house that Viz use are usually terrible, as we all know lol.

For Viz, and Kazé France, they still have not had an answer for a renewal of the rights (unless it happens at the beginning of the year 2021).

For France, since December 2019, Kazé France no longer has the rights and is awaiting a response.

Which is surprising for France, because Germany had the contract signed in spring 2020. And nothing, for France. So, I think the malcontents made themselves heard (for Kazé France & Viz) and Toei may be trying to negotiate with other publishers.
