The majority of the shots, I definitely agree, but the heart crystal brooches look a little out of place, did they need to CG them?

:ami:'s ending pose looks a little awkward (and her attack is really good, but still has the error where her brooch looks more like a circle for some frames, or is it just my eyes?), but her transformation looks wonderful, :usagi: and :chibiusa:'s attacks are good, :rei:'s Flame Sniper and :minako:'s Love and Beauty Shock are definitely a case where they improved on the animation of the original, as much as I loved Ikuko's version and I do wish they kept Venus' lipstick like the original had, but still good. :mako:'s on the other hand, spinning looks like it's missing some frames, we needed more oak leaves.

The Eternal uniforms are wonderful, I love how they added the circlets on the wrist sections of the gloves, although it looks like :ami:'s brooch was incorrectly colored yellow (hopefully a BD fix that can be added in time for the international release).

That "BAD QUALITY" thing doesn't look bad at all.
I cannot see anything that looks bad bad on the mv. In fact I am impressed.

I noticed this about the heart crystals. I thought they looked slightly out of place but not too much. Mercury's looks the coolest in her shot with it. Yes, I knew Venus was missing something...I forgot about the sparkle of energy that drifts across her lips. They should have kept that part and made the heart powerup with energy before it released. I haven't seen the whole attack yet though so I don't know what else is in it as far as its impact.

Jupiter Oak Evolution should have hit Hawk's Eye with something similar to Venus' Crescent Beam of Anger from her two timing episode

Why is everything about Ami so... fresh and perfect? From everyday life scenes to her attack. I feel it's so unfair to the others, especially Makoto.
Makoto other scenes are beautiful too. Rei's scenes look quite good to me as well. Makoto's attack looks quite undercooked but this is a first. Rolling Heart Vibration was the biggest joke. Each senshi has to get one underwhelming attack. . We don't know, they might use more attacks in part 2. I wanna see season 3 Coconut Cyclon in this style.

Season 3 designs look nothing like the manga or anything related to Sailor Moon... They looked better on screen cause they were easy to draw and animate than the Yukie Sako ones but they were a shame to the franchise cause seriously... Its the least Sailor Moon looking design you can find out there. They just had Akira Takahashi free on Toei after working on the respective Pretty Cure season and said: you, go and take season 3 with 0 caring of being faithful to the characters they had to represent.

The scene with the falling boulder actually looks a lot better than I remember. I also remembered that Jupiter is the one that smashes one of them.

Also when I said the animation quality dropped for the Venus scene, I think what I was talking about specifically was when she uses Love and Beauty shock after the stock footage to defeat the two youma. It reminded me a bit of a poorly done season 1 ‘real time’ attack. I may be misremembering but I don’t think so

Considering he’s a big Sailor Moon fan if this is the case then I’m a little peeved he didn’t add some little changes to the Jupiter henshin like Shingo Fuji did for his Mercury one.
Shingo Fuji's transformation wasn't a simple redrawing of Mercury's S3 one though. It follows the same choreography (she flies close to the screen here, she spins there, etc.) but it's technically a new work. Jupiter and Mars's are frame-by-frame redrawings.

Yeah, that’s what I was getting at. Why not give them all the same treatment.. it is a movie after all.

Still love Kagawa’s work though!

I wouldnt say no to start a new adaptation of the manga again with these designs, new scenes that make the peacing better ( not strict scene by scene adaptation ) with longer character development ( villains specially ) and a touch of the 90s anime when it comes to develop the bonds of the girls.

It wont happen of course but I dont really want any spin off or an official 90s anime continuation ( Naoko doesnt want it either lol ).
