It is authentic. Mexican fans have the prove that someone at Toei uploaded the video (they made a screenshot). So can we stop speculating if it's fanmade or not? The trailer is ufinished and not official, but the material is from Toei animation.
Although I have to admit that they have never looked so un-derpy (Mako looks great here), I hate that they look like the age of ChibiUsa in season 3. I'm quite sad about it :-(

They don't look any younger than the style of Season 3 since... It's literally just the same scene from the last episode redrawn (and less off-model).

I'd imagine they'll make them attack more than once though. Crystal changed several manga battles like that. For example Ami is a part of battle in act 7 whereas in the manga she's at crown game center. In act 15 Jupiter and Venus are also there for the battle even though in the manga there's only Moon, Mars and Mercury. In act 27 all inners fight the daimon while in the manga its just Moon and Chibimoon.

They might use different attacks incorporating old attacks the way Season 3 did, but with updated visuals. I see nothing wrong about it as long as they don't repeat footage. They might use sequence once when needed for accent and attack in real time after. I agree they do not look younger than season 3, and the Usagi close up looks quite age appropriate

At least they look like girls now. Plus this is the best far off shot we got in Crystal. Te worst frame I see is the one with Pegasus. This might be draft material and for the release it kight be cleaned up and further polished. This is leak, nobody at what stage of the production the person got the material. It is still not half as bad as we got before. A clearer image and a bit more polish will do wonders. The filtered and a bit clearer pose looks so much better with minimal enhancment in quality. Most of the detail is just los due to the low resolution. And despite all it looks pretty decent. I wish they were older, but we got the designs almost a year ago and this ship is long sunk.
@sapphire91 Do you have a link to Moonlight Densetsu as sung by the Crystal cast? I'd love to hear it.
Unfortunately I never heard the whole thig it is on a preview for the 25th anniversary album as bonus track. It is ripped but without the bonus tracks. I bought the album on itunes but it doesn't have it as well. They sound a lot like the classical version.

That's why I don't think you can judge the attacks based on a few seconds of (low quality) footage. It's clear they're inspired by the '90s anime, but I think they're not showing everything.

I'm not a convinced by the choregraphy so far for Mercury, but here they did a good job with the skirt and the ribbon, the shape and shadows make it look three-dimensional and vivid:
On the other hand, Jupiter's body looks really flat and I wish the shadows were more dramatic.
So iss this Venus just after her handkiss or did she just sneeze some corona-droplets?
Is anyone good/quick with photoshop and could remodel her nose the way it would look if it was made by Tadano-san?
EDIT: I made a quick nose-job on Venus the way I think it looks more like Tadano's style. Funny how it changes the face! She immediately looks older and, in my opinion, better.

Well Tadano's design is sadly nose free... She has forseen coronavirus. I'd rather have that instead of season 3 frog mouths.

She's got a nose. The video quality is just so awful that it's taking out the lines. Look at her mouth or earlobes.
On a side note, moe is just used to describe any appealing and endearing character traits, physical or personality-wise. It's a highly subjective concept and, though it's origins are disputed, it's probably existed as a term since the 80's, and both the 90's anime and manga were considered moe.

Actually, it means exactly that (the part in italics). I don't recall ever seeing anybody on the Internet to use the term "moe" in a positive way ("Aww, it's so moe, it's my favorite anime!") While the word does originate from a Japanese verb that doesn't have any inherent negative meaning, within anime/manga fandom it is used exclusively to mock or criticize something.

I guess it's a matter of taste, I prefer Mars and Mercury over Jupiter and Venus. I do see there is something fanarty about Mars, especially on the bottom, but her face looks gorgeous. The character design we see in the leaked material is quite the opposite of what Naoko did in the manga. It's too round and lacks that edgy aspect. At least, the proportions are done right.
They stopped trying to adapt the manga style a long time ago. It is really a matter of taste. I personally was horrified by the Mercury on the character design. The face looks so derpy and the pose was so fan arty. But then I saw the character design of Mercury by Akira and it was way worse. I think the footage that leaked look overall a lot better compared to the chara design
