Do you guys think we'll get a short for each movie, like Ami's first love?
If yes, what could it be?
I think this is out of the question. First - they do not care, second they have no time to waste on shorts. I personally rather have as much as possible covered from the manga rather than a short.

No, because that would require cutting each film's length. The main reason the 90s movies were an hour long was because they were part of triple features with other movies that premiered together with them.

R had Make Up Sailor Senshi (15 minutes) and the Get a Grip, Tsuyoshi movie (30 minutes)*
S had the Aoki Densetsu Shoot movie (25 minutes) and Osawaga! Super Baby (25 minutes)
SuperS had Ami's First Love (15 minutes) and the Azuki-chan movie (30 minutes)*

* - Not Toei Animation productions

He hasn't been on any poster since season 1. If Chiaki Kon decides to follow the path of SuperS, it will be no surprise that he won't take part in the last battle. :wow::wow::wow: I believe that is the only time he transforms into Tuxedo Mask in Dead Moon arc.
i dont think so well in season 3 she did a good job adapting the manga, and the only thing she use was the 90s attacks, i dont know if shes going to reuse them again in this arc x.x, but i hope we have a new transformations

Usagi did not depend on Chibi-Usa to transform anymore. I hope a double transformation with Tuxedo Mask. :)

I am pretty sure the first time Chibi Usa and Usagi transformed together in the Dream Arc. If they are being smart they will show one transformation per senshi, so we might get double transformation again
Usagi and Mamoru will transform together in Part 2 though in chibi forms. I hope this won't get cut though.

So why do you think does it take SO long for Toei to put the official character design online? The teaser "trailer" seemed to be quite beta-material. Only the key visual looks like polished art. Maybe they wanted to test the design and might make some minor changes?

If they are realising both films next year they have started animation at least at the end of the last year if not earlier. They cannot test designs for films comming next year, if it was a tv showmight have been, but it is a movie. They did the same right before season 1 on the official reveal they showed some concept art and the finisged actual designs were put on the site later the same day. They never showed season 3 actual designs on the site so they probably won't do it for season 4 Eternal, which at this point doesn't even have an entry on the site. By now they should be in later stage of production of the films or at least the first one, so they cannot really change them at this point.

Keep in mind that Tadano is usually doing only designs recently (the past 10 or so years) nd doesn't work as animation director. Every animation director put their spin on the designs so they might look a bit different compared to the finished character designs, unless of course Tadano is not working as animation director, which is quite unlikely.

As for the designs being published on the site they most likely won't just like season 3.

I think the consistency of character designs between episodes has become the standard of anime nowadays. I barely see any noticeable variations anymore. It seems that the directors are not handed over the rights to modify and put their characteristics on the designs and if any conspicuous thing happens, it will be fixed right in the DVD.

I dont mean the episodic designers. They strive for consistency for lobger and Crystal was the first in a while tgat has that issue. I am talking about the chief animation director which is in most cases one person and the spin they put on the designs. In Crystal s1and 2 it was Kozue Komatsu who took it from Yukie Sako early on. While the show was inconsistent you can look at Black Moon arc opening and see his tweaks. A finished anime product usually has a small deviations from the character designs, unleass the designer is the chief animation director.

So with Usagi looking probably younger then ever before, do you still think Kotono Mitsuishi should be her voice?
I love Kotono and she does her best. She is the voice of Usagi from the get go, however I was against her comming back frok the very begining of Crystal. They should have either cast the same voices or entierly new cast. As Crystal is from the begining a very different product it made no sense to bring Kotono back. In any case cast will remain the same as confirmed. I am way more interest about the new characters' voices. Actually when I look at the full body pictures and ditch the close ups they all looked younger in Season 3. The new style is very cute and all, but there is something that makes them look a tad bit less childish.

I think in season 3 they all looked a bit like the grinch with those wide mouths. I need to see more of the new design but at least I can say it is the best execution so far, the proportions are right, nothing looks off. My favourite is Mars. Maybe because she is the one that looks most like 90s Mars. Can't wait to see the settei. I wonder if there will be artbooks for the movies.

About Kotono: I love her too, but I guess Crystal's Usagi is such an annoying character, Kotono couldn't rescue her. Sometimes i felt she sounded too mature. For a Stars project I hope we'll get something more mature designed again.

If theyever do Starsthey will probably keep Tadano or something similar. They gave up the mature look and went with the wave. As for Usagi I find her a lot less annoying in Crystal than the 90s anime. They voice Kotono used felt a bit more comedicic in the first couple of episodes but then she found her voice. My problem was not the fact she is old for the part, but the fact it was unfair to the other voice actors. Most shows either keep the entier cast or a completely new one for a reboot.

Yeah, I think it's pretty scummy Toei Animation got Kotono Mitsuishi back to reprise her role as the main character but didn't even bother to bring back any of the other original voice actors, like they wanted to have a whole new cast with the new (mostly joke) versions of the Sailors, but also just bring back Kotono as Usagi/Sailor Moon solely for extra brownie points and nostalgia. I can understand not having Chiyoko Kawashima reprise her roles as Shingo, Haruna-sensei and Setsuna/Sailor Pluto because she retired 19 years ago and now is 65 years old, nor Katsuji Mori returning as Nephrite as he was in his late 60s-early 70’s, nor Kazuyuki Sogabe as Kunzite since he passed away in 2006, nor having Kaneto Shiozawa return as Prince Diamond as he sadly died in 2000, nor Eiji Maruyama as Wiseman as he was 85 years old and sadly died a few months after the second season of Crystal ended, but seriously? Toei Animation couldn't bring back Aya Hisakawa (Mercury), Michie Tomizawa (Mars), Emi Shinohara (Jupiter), Rica Fukami (Venus), Keiko Han (Luna), Yasuhiro Takato (Artemis), Kae Araki (Chibi Moon), Megumi Ogata (Uranus), Masako Katsuki (Neptune), Yūko Minaguchi (Saturn), Shino Kakinuma (Naru), Keiichi Nanba (Umino), and Toru Furuya (Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask)? Or couldn't they have gotten the PGSM cast to return? But nope, we instead had to have Cure Peace/Hisako Kanemoto as Crystal's Ami/Sailor Mercury, Ami Kochimizu/Cure Melody as Crystal's Makoto/Sailor Jupiter and Misato Fukuen/Cure Happy as Crystal's Chibi-Usa/Sailor Chibi Moon, probably only for the reason because "They're big names Pretty Cure voice actresses and Pretty Cure is our most popular current magical girl franchise!!" despite how miscasted those three sounded, especially with Jupiter, only Ai Maeda/Cure Aqua sounded perfectly cast as Sailor Pluto in Crystal, Misato's Chibi Moon sounded grating and more like an adult woman trying to sound like a little kid than an actual little kid, Kochimizu's voice just didn't fit Jupiter and though it's hard to explain, Jupiter's character and her voice just don't mix together. And now that I look back on it, while Hisako Kanemoto is a good actress, was not a really good choice for the role of Sailor Mercury/Ami, I thought she was too young to capture the vocal tone of Ami and unfortunately her acting here feels really bland, she doesn't feel like she has the appropriate vocal reaction to stuff like fighting in battle and when shouting out some attack phrases and such, the tone in her voice didn't really match with the emotion that was trying to be conveyed.

I honestly likethe new cast though. They should have just recast Usagi. They rebooted the show witg new stuff after all. I think all the Crystal voice actresses are perfectly well cast, the problem is we barely hear them throughout it. Especially in Black Moon Arc. Theoldvoice cast is iconoc, I have no complains with the new cast and think that it was the right thing to do for a completely new adaptatiob. But having just Kotono makesno sense.

Plus she was terrible in season 1. Every dub that covered Act 9 had their actresses do a much better job than she did.

I don't critize her, I like her as Usagi, but with everybody else recast it was not needed. Though I really think she is Usagi and respect her immensly, I feel for the rest of the gang. Rika Fukami and Michie Tomizawa are among my favorite voice actresses.
