Like the director has that kind of power on the music side...

I don't care for Moon Pride myself but most of the hate it got was over the translated lyrics since Crystal was the opposite of that, especially during Season 1.

Big deal, many TV shows have had the same kind of cliffhanger, 90s anime included.
I agree, it is just that the Chibi Usa song was so not fitting for the tone of the show no matter to which episode as Crystal always end on cliffhanger. I don't like Tsuki Niji, but it was way more fitting and never clashed the last scene of the episode. I love Eternal Eternity, but in general I think it was odd to use character songs as endings, instead of something neutral and fitting.

Everything about Crystal III is odd. What's the point of cramming 3 openings and 3 endings into 13 episodes, while the first 26 episodes had to share just a song? :orly::orly: It seems to me that the character song album of season 1 2 didn't sell well, so they used Ura-Nepsong as the ED theme instead of release a new album...

mh about the music, i hear some rumors about monlight desensu, toei didnt do something original was a copy of another song and change the lyrics, and thats why naoko started compose music, and thats why toei change the opening for stars, im glad they didnt use it again
later i show you the video

and yeah some of season3 endings were strange in the mood of the situation, mh it was better chibi usa ending first than haruka and michiru than mamoru ending

Moonlight Densetsu was inspired by another song for sure and it sounded very similar, like almost the same. Someone did a post about it a long while back to the song on here.

Sayonara wa Dance no Ato ni - WikiMoon

Did Takeuchi compose songs? I think she only wrote lyrics.

The melody of “The Majolica Señorita of my Dreams” (performed by Key West Club) and “Moonlight Densetsu” (performed by DALI/Moon lips) was composed by the same group of people.

The lyrics of each song are different, so it’s a rewrite.

No, I don’t think Naoko wrote the lyrics of “Moonlight Densetsu.” I think somebody else did.
