Keiko is creditted in the main cast before the movie truly begins! YAYNESS! Unfortunately, she speaks about 6 syllables. But she's EVERYWHERE. She goes to the school the main character attends, she hangs out in the garage where he hangs out and she looks cute. OMG. Cute! We shall now refer to this as "Keiko Keitagawa in the land of Japanese skanks".
And skanks there were. OMG. Ganguro. Does anyone do that anymore? I can believe the goth-lolis, but ganguro is way out. Like years out.
Oh yes, and there were very sweet cars. VERY SWEET. But never in any universe could a 350Z ram a 60s ford mustang and not crumple into a crumply mess. Not even in the universe where Aquaman actually has superpowers.
oh wow, I may have to see this then. Maybe when it comes out on vid tho, don't think I'd want to shell out the money for a movie ticket. It's nice to know that Keiko has so much face time. *waves tiny japanese flag fans*
I remember watching a thing about ganguros over there... They're called something different now, and don't consider themselves ganguro except they're doing the exact same thing... A rose by any other name, I guess.
But that's great about Keiko and getting those little credit before the movie.
If any of my friends are goingto be stupid enough to see it, I suppose I'll follow, but if not I can wait for it to come on cable.
I went to go see it yesterday with some friends and it actually wasn't that bad. She only has a couple of speaking lines (this I guess is mainly due to her lack of english speaking abilites) but is featured quite a bit throughout the film. Her character is kind of a tech-rat who knows alot about the mechanics of computers and cars. I would say she appears in over half the scenes in the movie. I just thought it was really cool seeing someone from PG Sailor Moon up on the big screen. And honestly...I wouildn't have gone to see it if she wasn't in it, lol. Just thought I would share that with you guys!
Agreed. Movie wasn't good, but of course if you want plot you can't expect a car movie to satisfy you. I like how Keiko was pretty much in every scene that had extras, I really wasn't expecting her to be part of the garage crew. But hey, it works.
