Why would they have done that? In the Japanese version, Nehelenia's voice doesn't change during the old Nehelenia bits.

I'm too used the Cloverway dub which did give Nehelenia an old womans voice during that scene. Considering Zirconia represented Nehelenia's fear of growing old, it just made sense to me, but I know Viz opts to stay as close to the Japanese as possible.

Cherami got to dub her song in the school fair episode.

It is a nice idea. But I don't think they really needed to do it here, since Nehelenia has a more mature voice in this dub.

Nehelenia sounds amazing, the actress delivers her lines with perfection. Even though it has many flaws, the Viz dub isn't nowhere as bad as DiC enthusiasts make it seem to be.

I wish Sandy Fox had been allowed to use her Black Lady voice for the age switch. Sugar Lyn Beard steals this scene with her delivery in my opinion.

I miss the English insert songs and I enjoy the Cloverway dialogue that was added.

I dunno, while her grownup voice does sound good from an age perspective, the emotion of her delivery of "No" and "I don't want that" and such sounds more like boredom and indifference than sincere concern, making her almost sound needlessly sarcastic and sassy towards the very concerned Pegasus.

I think CWI Helios is better as acting, but Viz Helios sounds more age appropriate. I like both honestly.

It still makes no sense how they couldn't dub the songs yet cwi managed to do it. If funi can dub the dragin ball super songs, viz should be able to dub songs that are part of the show itself, not just in universe singing. I still think it was Viz trying to be too faithful to the original and cheap.

I mean there is the whole Fish Eye is a lady boy that decieves straight men by pretending to be a cis female thing that might be deemed problematic.

Laura Post is a fantastic voice actress, and for my money one of the best up-and-comers in the industry today. I loved her as Ragya in Kill la Kill, and she sounds great as Nehelenia so far.

The Viz actresses for the Inners are doing great, but I wish their transformation/attack phrases didn't sound so lame. Even though Liza Balkan was a goddamn awful voice actress, she sounded more pumped up than Kate Higgins when Ami used her powers...
