The Hebrew dub for all 200 episodes took one year to be finished, and they did really good with the Three Lights songs. I hope Viz lives up to the original versions.

P.S.: It's fun how the Hebrew dub turned the Starlights into queer versions of their civilian forms, instead of switching to female VAs after they transform like the Italian, Brazilian and Latin-American Spanish dubs did.

Considering the Hebrew dub and the Korean and Vietnamese redubs, and the fact that Funi dubs DB Super's OPs and EDs into English, it's pretty obvious that dubbing only songs sung by characters in-universe is a decision made by Viz.
This is sad, it would be really nice to listen to official English versions of songs other than Ai no Senshi, Watashitachi ni and Sailor Team Theme.

There’s been a growing trend in the fandom to pass the buck off Viz and absolve them of any missteps

The insert songs are undubbed? Oh that’s Toei’s fault.

The sound mixing sounds like ass? Oh the show is just really old .

I higly doubt she had such a big pool of voices to choose from to begin with. I love VIZ as manga publisher. Their manga translations at least recent one are very professional and they put a lot of effort in it. But as anime publisher they have hit and miss attempts and their dubs are pretty generic. Overall the new dub is not perfect, but English dubs are rarely perfect. It is servicable and most fans will watch it subbed anyway.

I know about no dubbing the insert songs (not counting Rei and Minako's singing parts in the actual series). And that basically sucks.

...yep, those are the toxic purist/fan brats in a nutshell. To be honest, Viz isn't flawless and the only reason why I wanted to see the new dub was because they promised that the new actresses would sing ALL the songs, but then again, Toei's lied before.

At least, we should get all of the Three Lights' songs dubbed and sung. That is, all of the ones that they actually sing and perform onscreen in the show, not any that are only sung in the background.

I don't care about the insert songs, as long as the diagetic music is still dubbed. It does seem weird that they would go out of their way to cast actresses that could sing when only Cristina Vee, Cherami Leigh, and the Starlight trio would actually need to do so.

Viz never said the actresses will sing all the song. Just all of them can sing.Anyway there is nothing justifying this taking 5 years
Would you rather them repeat the original dub's schedule of recording 65 episodes in four months followed by 77 episodes in about two? I think that dub could've turned out much better if it just had more time.

Although, I think the Viz dub had a long hiatus because of some kind of pay dispute, so they probably didn't mean for it to take this long.
