Was there ever a Finnish dub of Sailor Moon? I know that there was one of Digimon back in the day, and it was extremely bad. Searching on YouTube for a Finnish dub of Sailor Moon has yielded me only fandubs.

At least according to the wiki it sounds like Finland just got the Swedish dub with Finnish subtitles.

I guess they didn't get textless op/ ed and even if they did, they are not remastered and not all of them are availae textless - just the final versions. They did some very bizzare stuff with op/ed, they dubbed every single one of them but didn't or couldn't use al of them. Kaze mo sora mo kitto was dubbed as a song, but the footage was from Tuxedo Mirage ending because Usagi is nude. They had removed and edited nudity but as far as i know kept the gay characters. What I like about thir dub is that they dubbed the songs, even the obscure ones like Maboroshi no Ginzuishou and the one at the end of the hot spring episode.

Originally the Hebrew dub was only going to dub the first OP and ED because they were the only songs that came with an English translation by Toei. But a fan provided them English lyrics for all OPs/EDs and insert songs, the only exception I remember is La Soldier which was kept instrumental. As far as I know, the Hebrew dub is the only dub to have a version of Princess Moon.

I think they also missed the Ami Rei and Usagi song from the episode with the animators.I am not 100% sure and it is in my opinion pretty untranslatable anyway.

For those waiting for Madman to release this I have performed my usual interrogation it should be available before the end of the year (I know... US thread... but I'm a doughnut snorting couch potato and cannot find the AU one and even if I did I'm not sure I wanna bump it):

The Viz actors sound bored a lot of the time... They sound dead in parts where the Japanese cast did put so much energy into their lines. Like when the inners reveal their identities to the Amazoness Quartet. Even the rushed CWi dub had a lot more of energy in their rendition of that scene.

In this particular case, it's because of what happened to Mamoru at the end of last episode so it made sense here.

-sad sigh- So I am at the episode with Chibi Chibi....and....Sheh's Chibi is passable at best..but her chibi does NOT have feeling...it is so flat when she says 'chibi' this makes me sad because Chibi Chibi is my favorite SM character :( very disappointed.
