I love part 1 the best.

Part 2 felt so rushed though but that's completely understandable.
I liked Part 2 slightly better, I think (there wasn't much of the Sailor Soldiers in Part 1 but it still was awesome), but yeah, the ending did feel rushed, there the Amazoness Quartet felt more like minor background villains, never getting any conclusions to their stories, unlike with the Trio.

Toei should've simply outsourced the entire production to fans & we'd have watched the movies already. :P
I agree. Frankly a lot of fan stuff is better than most official series/films made by companies today, if you ask me. I'd like to make a fan film myself, though it would take a lot of work...

I like they added new stuff to it like Fisheye flirting with Yuuichiro and the fact they casted asians.

Watched Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald and while it does represent asians they have really sucky roles.:creeper:

You're better off buying stuff from artists or craft your own.

Never saw Crimes of Grindelwald, is it worth watching?

I have bought mostly official vintage plushies and such though. I am planning to do my own doujinshi online, but I'm not planning to sell it like how a lot of doujins are sold though.

It feels different from the first film. First film felt like a Pokemon movie but the sequel is dark and shows more connection to the Harry Potter sequels. For me its good but its getting a lot of bad reviews from what I heard. If you're into Harry Potter its a must watch.

That's great. Just keep doing what you love.

Thanks. The reason I'm not planning to sell it is I don't know if it's legal to sell doujinshi in the US or not (my profile picture is a hint at what it's going to be like, and if you want, I can link some pictures I did).

At this point I don’t even think anymore about these 2 movies... for me the projet is dead or in development hell :’(
I still think also it’s stupid to adapt this arc to movies... for me only the last arc in the galaxy cauldron could be easily adapted to a movie the rest is too material for a basic anime.

I think it was probably a good idea to adapt it into two movies because movies generally get larger budgets and you have a director who did as best as she could with Infinity Arc and made it a much better experience. I like how she even did a callback to the original with OG Sailor Moon attacks. I'm going through remain confident about this, especially with them bringing on a SM vet who appears to still be as passionate about SM as Director Kon is.

Sailor Moon is still an iconic anime to this day..Toei isn't gonna throw it in the trash (completely.... depending on your opinion about the first two seasons of Crystal). Miss Japan for Miss Universe beauty pageant chose none other than Sailor Moon to represent the country. When I saw that, I added her instantly and said, "You are an automatic win!" and she liked my post. Sailor Moon ain't going nowhere. She'll be back to us

I feel that they are probably making sure it is smooth and I'm sure it takes a long time to get things like movies done or even a small preview. I was a bit impatient but I'm over it really a little but I can totally understand why others may be tired..We'all be mummies by the time a teaser comes out...Ha

I'm guessing we may get something soon..They probably will promote Pretty Cure next since they can't seem to stop making them...lol

Perhaps we'll get something close to when Sailor Moon attraction returns to Universal again. It was so popular, it's coming back. So maybe Spring next year will be our time? Maybe we might get something at the end of December this year..a little teaser? You never know. Toei ain't bout the screw this up again. They got toys to sell...

And thats something i dont understand, while i can understand low budget for S1/S2 (Nothing new since PGSM/Seramyu was released, and PGSM sales were pretty meh, no Wonder Toei thought SM was dead) they made better product with S3, and few months after they announced Dream will beadapted as 2 movies, they announced director and chara design, but, its been few months and we didnt even got character designs, i dont want rushed product of course, but at least gave us something Toei, SM is very popular, dont treat it like 3rd wheel for DB/Precure....

I agree wholeheartedly that Toei better not treat SM like a third wheel...Now here's what I think and this is just my opinion but...compare SM to those other two and you'll see something striking. Unlike those other two, SM anime seems to be riding on the same story for 20+ years. Dragon Ball Z and Pretty Cure are steadily getting newer arcs and storylines, even if they are nonsensical or not.

If the anime took liberties like the musicals we might be on to something here.

How many times have we seen Frieda, Broili and many other of those characters come back but in a different setting with a different plot.

I'd love for SM to do this, even if it's a big WTF. I mean what fan wouldn't go crazy over a story like Queen Beryl being reincarnated and teaming up with another baddie like Nehellania. As crazy as that sounds, who knows what goes down in the Universe.

Maybe we can get some Distant Galaxy Senshi action going on or maybe a Sailor Senshi that was born in an entirely different country like Brazil or Africa or something. Maybe a new Sailor Wars should be on the horizon and threaten our team.

I think Sailor Moon is a big success but it has the potential to be a huge success but doesn't utilize all the possibilities. However, this Naoko's work and if she doesn't give the okay to do some more or any thing new. I have no choice but to respect that.

But I really think some new series would do the franchise something good.

A thought coming to mind, I seriously hope these movies don't get the usual BEEP-ty treatment that anime movies get once they get to America.

The 1/max 2 days of screening in "selected theaters" (more commonly known as travel 2 hours to a place nobody knows about) and please if they decide to have a dub, let it be decent.

Sorry if I seem passive aggressive, but I'm so sick and tired of Hollywood thinking they are above anyone else, so any movie that THEY don't make doesn't deserve to show up as much as theirs. I'll never forgive them for what they did to the screenings of A SIlent Voice (which btw deserved that Oscar way more than any other contender and it wasn't even nominated)

I agree with some of your responses whole-heartedly! I'm so tired of Sailor Moon being constantly treated like the red-headed Step Child to Precure. When it was 90s Gold back in the day! Sailor Moon was a Million dollar revenue for merchandise (not sure if I'm 100% accurate on that one though). Not a fan of the childish and make no-sense storylines of Precure. While Sailor Moon was the equivalent of Dragonball but the magical girl series of it, rather than shonen.

As fans we can get a little testy. We want our Sailor Moon and we want her now. From a business stand point...we don't know what is going on or what they are discussing but all we can do is hope they are getting everything in order.

Sadly, if Pretty Cure is making more money than SM, I can understand why they push it first, however, I haven't sat down and watched much of Pretty Cure to be honest, except for Yes, Pretty Cure 5 which reminded me of Sailor Moon. I like the Cure Lemonade girl with the Love Me Chain... (I mean Prismatic Chain..lol)

I mean that's the way most businesses work. Top priority goes to the big sellers. I don't know how "well" Sailor Moon is doing but she's making something for them to be investing in it.

Im wondering when the movies come out will they slice them into episodes? They could have done a series but then again, why not do a movie, get a higher budget, more time and more animators and slice it into episodes with better quality. Instead of a generic style we got previously.

Ms. Kon did good with Infinity but there were several things that looked pretty bad, especially Jupiter's and Venus' botched transformations. Pluto's Chronos Typhon looked pretty horrible too and those flat Doritos skirts weren't that nice either

What they need to do is redo the transformations from S1/S2 in 2D with movie quality animation.

Dream Arc is the arc that needs to have STUNNING visuals because of its setting. Trust me, we don't need to see a cardboard Pegasus flapping around like a watered down version of My Little Pony either.

The only thing I've been curious and somewhat concerned about is the scriptwriter. My biggest concern probably would be the pacing of this. Without knowing the lengths of these movies, some things may end up getting axed but it could also work.

If someone is more knowledgeable about this part: Do movies get the same censorship as a TV Series would. The Dream Arc isn't extremely violent per se but there are some moments of Nightmare Fuel that Ms. Kon needs to let play onscreen. Manga Nehellania ain't so sympathetic and I really hope Kon is allowed to do her Dark Directorial Magic for some of these scenes that dream Arc has for a more dramatic and powerful Sailor Moon adaptation.
