What changes would you make to the Eternal fuku?

As the titel says, what would you alter in their design, not only for Sailor Moon but the whole group’s? Perhaps you wouldn’t change a thing?

Me personally? I would let them keep the earings and shoes from their previous forms and maybe do some minor recolloring like changing the second layer on their skirt into their front bow colors.

But not more (Maybe the Planetary Symbols as an addition on their chokers, but that's all) because:

The girls' costumes have become so iconic that it would have been almost a mortal sin to change them beyond recognition.

I guess the rest will have cupid wings cause is the star of the show.

Btw, already had her 'Episode 200 Moment' way back in Episode 151. She did it first, not (The fact that it 'only' took place inside VR is non-relevant). And remember the 3rd Movie where the entire gang (save for Tux, luckily) was butt naked for some time.

I take it you mean the fuku from Sailor Stars not for the upcoming "Sailor Moon Eternal" movie as you mentioned layers and Super Sailor Moon's fuku doesn't have layers. If I misunderstood then I guess it doesn't matter because now you know what I'm talking about...

I don't think the 90's anime did a particularly good job "translating" the finer details from what Eternal Sailor Moon looks like in the manga. Those very large pink shoulder "balls" they gave her make her look robotic when her arms move and her body doesn't like when she performs Starlight honeymoon therapy kiss. I also think the wings were over simplified. It is too much of a departure from her previous transformations. As for the other senshi truth be told I didn't even really notice they'd changed with Sailor Moon's changes being so remarkable.

If it were up to me, I would scrap it completely and replace it with kaminary-san's "Neo Sailor Serenity" design (edit: that user deactivated the account but it's still on Pinterest and other DeviantArt profiles), or perhaps the top of the Fukano Moon design with the skirt of Keah's Sailor Princess Serenity.

Similarly, all of the other ladies would have uniforms similar to their individualized princess dresses (but not kaminary-san's vision since that artist just gave them very similar designs as Neo Sailor Serenity).

Well, I suppose so - that's what I had in mind actually, tho I didn't mention it in my last post above. lol I'd also like the other Senshi to have their wings in the pastel versions of their respective Senshi colors.

Maybe not as small, but still notably smaller than Moon's.

Here's my take. Kept it simple. I wasn't planning adding those back petals in the begin but it looks so cool. I actually did it by accident by adding 's body suit then adding the regular sleeves they had from the beginning.

Wanted to keep it simple and not out do Eternal 's own suit by just giving them double skirts instead of triple and dropping the those extremely long and thin double back bows while still keeping a few of their individual designs. Incorporated some of the Stars design I did like such as those arm bands and the star symbol below the navel.

I never really liked the fact that all of them look the same in the manga along with those distracting bowling ball sleeves.

Edit 2:
Here's my take on Eternal . Had to shorten her gloves back cause those ruffled triple sleeves kind of covers them. Took a few ideas both from Sailor Cosmos (the mini back wings) and PGSM Princess (the pearl tiara).

Someone already did for Neo Sailor Serenity and since Drachea Rannak did art of this character, it would be redundant.

Concerning the Fukano Moon/Sailor Princess Serenity fusion, the dollmaker can recreate the top, but the bottom would look off and I don't feel like editing the image right now to make it right.

But those are some awesome designs you made.

I don‘t like the designs where the sailor uniform becomes a party dress or babydoll. so i don‘t think the eternal form should represent their princess dresses in a way, because the fuku has a different purpose. My favourite fuku is the classic one, for all senshi, because it‘s the most suitable for fighting, simple but still individual.

I really don‘t like the eternal fuku. the color combinations are random and the shoulder pieces are also random and too big. and the huge cardboard wings...she can‘t even fly with them, so they are just decoration. the only moment i kinda liked the eternal fuku is in the manga after she loses the wings. in b+w it looks like nice silhouette.

THIS!!! its so much cleaner, and simple.

My biggest gripe with the ugly Eternal fufu are the weird bubble sleeves, even just removing those help out massively. The senshi look okay in them, id just add regular/Super form back bows. Sailor Moon's Eternal form itself is much uglier due to the wings, and the colors are way too much. The anime has red, baby pink, navy blue and yellow as a color combo, which is awful. Even pastels are an improvement if that scheme had to stay, and the manga trades the red for a cherry pink but its not much better. It just doesn't look a natural progression from Super Sailor Moon.

There not much difference to the 90s design, but I think with the white hair and replacing red with fuchsia, the eternal fuku looks a bit more elegant. The transparent wings give an idea how it looks without them. the yellow is softer and pastel. I think it works better this way. What do you think?

^ Yes, that's an official design. (At least, the drawing of ESM is Naoko's, but that's not the original background for it.)

Anyway, I actually like Eternal Sailor Moon's design as done by Naoko (the '90s anime made it look awful, and it absolutely does not work in real life); it's only the bland hyper-uniformity of giving all the other Sailors the same eternal uniforms that I dislike. But, if I were to redesign ESM's look...

I'd start with Sailor Moon's look from the cover of the Infinity art book (i.e. her original uniform, but with wings and no gloves) but I'd make her skirt long enough to cover her crotch, make her fingernails less sharp-looking, and use her eternal brooch. I'd use the longer wings from this NSFW illustration, use the hair jewelry from this illustration in lieu of the feather barrettes, and just have the crescent moon mark on her forehead instead of her having a tiara. Maybe give her a bold, red lip as well. Possibly make her choker metallic and jewel-studded, like in this illustration. A simple, elegant, mature take.
