I think Mio was either created or hijacked by Jadeite with the help of a nice big dose of Queen Beryl's power. Beryl has secretly invested more of her own energy than he knows into her, and can see through her eyes, and ocasionally she accidently bursts through control. (as in anytime there is anything Usagi x Mamoru related comes up) Jadeite still thinks he has full control over her and is using her to get the ginzuisho, but secretly Beryl is planning on using her to get herself some capeboy! :tuxspeedomask:
From Mio's debut in 29:
"Beryl: I can see it. I will go down to Earth. The future of that planet... Endymion, we will surely meet soon. This time, for sure. Jadeite, how is it?
Jadeite: Because of the power you lent me, it痴 doing better than expected. It will surely get the Illusionary Silver Crystal.
Beryl: I'm looking forward to it. ...Even more so with my power mixed in..."
From shortly before Mio pulls a drama queen in front of Mamo-chan's bike:
"Beryl: Jadeite, the thing that we致e set after the princess葉here's a man I want it to target first, even more than the princess.
Jadeite: Is it...Endymion?"
Yes it's Endymion, dummy. :rolling: How would Jadeite react if he were making Mio stalk Mamoru and suddenly Beryl took over and went all nutsy over him? Maybe he'd start listening to Zoicite then... Provided Zoi isn't too busy with Minako!

Wow...you know, plutoball, I never even noticed that! Sucks having to wait a week for new episodes and not having time to watch the old ones again...now I'm starting to think that Mio IS a youma! *throws a fit* I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate waiting a week!
But I DO like how they're acknowledging Beryl's obsession with Endymion...I don't remember them doing anything with that in the anime.

I personally think that mio is a creation of beryakls that may be created from part of her, so that when Mio feels somethings bayral does and visa versa. also she is a real .. nevermind, her autitude is what gets me so much more then anything else. espically when we first were introduced and she pulled that usagi hurt me act and abandoned me act.. *growls*
Beryl created her to be her eyes and ears and whatnot. Especially considering her increased power on account of Metaria, etc.
They keep you guessing because the Dark Kingdom folk never hint at it verbally.
I wonder though. There must be something that doesn't allow Beryl herself to go around and stalk them. Maybe it's more effective this way, like a "spy." But the only time Beryl made an appearance in the regular world was by using Zoisite's soul flight technique, which makes me think she can't actually go on her own.

I believe that Mio is a cultivated pod-person clone of Minako gone horribly wrong. The size of the schnozz causes issues with her singing as we can all atest to. It was grown in the Infinity Labs, under supervision of the proto-Witches Five, in cooperation with Dark Kingdom Heavy Industries. Yeah! That's it.

I really doubt that she is an idol that Beryl is controlling. Just because when Minako wanted to know more about where she came form and her past, Mio did the burst into tears thing.
If Mio is Beryl, then Minako sure has the cajones to stand up to her that way (unless she doesn't know just who she's dealing with!)
