What is your trivial pet peeve in Sailor Moon?

What are those things that annoy you but are so minuscule in importance.

For me:
Rei's fringe in Crystal going from opening on the sides back to the straight bangs that she had in the 90's anime.
Michiru's hair length.
Sailor Mercury's shoulder cuffs
Makoto's hair getting thinner or shorter depending on the media.
PGSM with 99% straight bangs.

I think I have a hair problem lol.

I could've sworn Ami's hair was black, but it's blue. But I think I'm just colorblind.

None of my pet peeves are trivial; they are all of the gravest importance.


(But the weirdness of the transformation phrases is probably one of my lesser gripes. Like, Usagi goes from Prism Power to Crystal Power to Cosmic Power to Crisis (Power) to Eternal (Power)/Silver Moon Crystal Power. But then the others go from ____ Power to Star Power to Planet Power to Crystal Power. Does that mean their Super forms are on par with Moon's R form? And then the Starlights use ____ Star Power, so are they on par with the Inners' R forms? Can the Inners/Outers/Starlights/etc also transform with Prism/Cosmic/Crisis/Eternal Power, or is Sailor Moon the only one get unique transformation phrases (and if so, why?). The lack of consistency (I know, I know) annoys me.)

Why didn't Usagi and the inners figure out that Haruka and Michiru's identity earlier
Why no boys are interested in many girls, especially Michiru
Why SuperS movie didn't connect with Stars(Setsuna's return)

I agree with all of the above. I loved Mars' parted fringe in Crystal, they're so beautiful. Michiru's long hair is gorgeous. Sailor Mercury having protective shoulder pads in her base form was done by animators because they didn't want her to feel left out. It's the same with Minako's season one transformation pen, the animators did it to make Mina a part of the team. The former (shoulder pads) does somewhat bother me, the latter (pen) does as well even if was done in order to save and money. I love Makoto's long hair, the inconsistency across the various iterations is annoying, same with Michiru above. I love P.G.S.M, however the sleek and straight bangs on everyone is restrictive.

poorly written as a mary sue nerd on certain episodes where she needs to be like being already a pro on a videogame she's never played before in Stars or being a genius doctor in PGSM. Writers some times pushed this too far to the point of absurdity. Thankfully isn't like this 98 percent of the time.

The cloth of Tuxedo Mask is over simplified in the 90's anime. Despite being a guy, he talks so much and is often the first to be defeated.
At the end of S, Pharaoh 90 didn't have any big role. Mistress 9 turned out to be the final boss.
In SuperS, some battle are so... absurd. Sometimes the attack of youma backfired on themselves.
The color pallet in Stars hurt my eyes.

That Sailor Moon's first wand is called the "Moon Stick."

Every single wand or rod afterward had a memorable name. Cutie Moon Rod, Spiral Heart Moon Rod, Moon Kaleido Scope, etc. But the first wand was given the awful, nondescript name "Moon Stick."

I still call it the "Crescent Moon Wand" in my head and sometimes even aloud. It's strange for all the specificity the old dub erased, it did give Sailor Moon's first rod a name more in line with the later naming conventions of the original version, only to erase the name of the Cutie Moon Rod and go with a general "moon scepter."

I hate the ridiculous sounding attacks and transformation phrases. Like they Coconut Cyclon... These translates so horrebdously that for once I advocate for dub/sub chaneges when people simply rewrite them in their language. It is this serious battle and they are yelling dramatically nonsense...

Well, I'm actually grateful for that after what they did to 'Speed Racer' and 'Battle Angel Alita' among others. *shudders*
